dinner at hen of the wood in waterbury - starting w some local jasper hill cheese - and heady on tap.

 

Any cut in particular? If I'm going out, it's gonna be porterhouse. Maybe tomahawk ribeye. Unlike a civil last supper, we'll feast as warriors bound for Valhalla... @GreenBayBA
We could drop in on @TrveBrewer and utilize that ginormous single slab table, rare meat roasted over fire and Oktober Rust flowing all night...

For food: my weight in Wellfleet oysters, mexican street tacos (your option of chorizo or cabeza), fried whole belly clams, smoked brisket and the Foie Dog from the dearly departed Hot Dougs in Chicago (Duck Sauternes sausage with fleur de sel and foie gras sliced on top.)

For drink: Heady Topper, Pliny the Elder, Hill Farmstead Saisons and a nice smokey independent bottling of Bunnahabain scotch.

 

Tacos, nachos, pizzas, burgers, and a variety of lagers and stouts.

For me, slow roasted Schweinshaxe (pork knuckles) with Käsespätzle and caramelized vidalia onions, and Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Urbock. For desert, coffe-fudge ice cream floats in St. Bernadus Abt. 12. Out in the woods on a mild October evening, with a campfire.

Oh, and there won’t be more than four of us. In part because that’s all the friends I have anyway.

 

1st- Fried smelts tossed with hot pepper rings and pints of fresh Pilner Urquell.
2nd- Mortadella and Grana Padano and pints of fresh Timothy Taylor Landlord on cask
3rd- Cassoulet with fresh Edmund Fitzgerald Porter
4th- Single malt Scotch until we drop dead

 

You’re right. Salad with pineapple and white claws for them so they can utilize their talents.

 

My last supper? I'm paying for whatever they want to eat and drink. I can't take it with me.

I'd worry more about the folks here who chose pizza and salad for their last meal on earth. I mean, really.

 

Wait, as a non-christian, I'm a bit confused: weren't there 12 bruhs hanging with Jeebuz at the last supper? So, we're doing 13 bruhs +1?

Kitchen is gonna pissed. Better expect some "extra condiments" on the meals.

Naw, as long as Halle Berry brings some chocolate chip cookies, the rest of you fools get no women or food. I'll be dead in the morning. I never cared about y'alls feelings when I was alive.......

 

Never got to it, dreamt about it. A musician friend of mine, when on tour with a band from here, INSISTED that they hit Hot Dougs, or they could find another lead guitar. The band thanked him after.
