    Hello and hoppy Tuesday all!

    Just starting it this afternoon here with an IPA from Portland, Maine. The beer’s label makes it clear enough. It’s 5% ABV, comes in a 500ml bottle and also has a Best before date: April 2023. Safe to drink then.

    I can also make beers bubble, and no one can burst it. :wink:

    Good afternoon BAs, and thanks @Shanex for opening the VB doors today. Back in Winchester having a lunch beer - Electric Bear’s “Sunny Side Up” NEIPA:

    Dank tropical fruit nose; guava passion fruit green melon berries and mango in the finish. An impressive use of Motueka and Rakau hops. Big fan of this brewery!

    Short day in town today; rather rainy and Mrs. Z is worn out from yesterday’s outing. Cheers and have a great day y’all!

    Howdy all,
    Getting introspective today as a new semester start looms next Monday.
    What a great weekend. Am I giving up? No. Will I go back to Leadville? (probably) - Yes.
    Is it a great day? Yeah, actually. And my body isn't ruined and feels stronger today after having worked over all of Saturday. The human body is an amazing thing. But you know that.
    Also, beer is good, but I need to recover at this hour. ;0

    Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for opening this thread on this afternoon in the EU, early morning in Murica. Nice bubble!

    Off to another cool start after last night's thunderstorms - my garden isn't crazy about the weather, particularly the bitter melons who are considering growing fur. The tomatoes have been scared into ripening and the poor peppers are producing overtime before the snow hits. Mrs Lizard wants me to wipe out the zukes and plant lettuce and swiss chard now that we're sliding into winter. Makes my ass tired.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer is the last new variety (but not the last bottle) from Hair of the Dog:

    I am now revisiting Trappistes Rochefort Triple Extra, which made quite some noise in Europe when it was released two years ago and a bit more recently for North America, and probably the rest of the world.

    I’ve had it twice before in late 2020, marking the 100th anniversary since they released it the first time and keeping the original recipe.

    It’s very good. I wouldn’t expect anything less from a brewery such as this one. Only complaints I’ve heard from some others who had it was it was slightly too much on the sweeter side, for a Belgian triple that is. Found it in the supermarkets so at a decent price and personally cannot complain.
