Looking for recommendations for trip from Boston.

I’m going to Lawsons and Alchemist for sure!

    Anything I’m missing?

It’s helpful to provide a bit more detail so recommendations can be more specific. How long is your stay, where are you staying, how much do you want to drive, etc.?

2-3 day’s in Vermont and then headed to Maine coast.

No plans on where to stay, probably in Stowe.

We’re driving to Bar Harbor area.

Lodging recommendations in Stowe or Waitsfield?

Also, best route to Bar Harbor?

    Thanks!

What is your timing of this trip? Lodging availability will vary greatly depending on the time of year as we're now approaching leaf-peeping season, followed by ski season. I also wouldn't rule out Waterbury with access to Blackback Pub/Prohibition Pig/etc.

"Best" meaning shortest? It's a straight shot across northern VT/NH into central Maine - looking at 6+ hours and I would definitely recommend a stop at Schilling in Littleton, NH if you go that route. If you take a more southern route, you potentially bring Portsmouth NH/Kittery ME/and Portland into play.

In terms of brewery experience, I definitely recommend Hill Farmstead and Von Trapp

The Alchemist is a must stop, I’ve never had Lawson’s Finest, yet.

    Waitsfield worth the stop?

Lawson's new brewery is really nice. I personally love double sunshine, and having it on draft was worth an out of the way stop for me. You can find their stuff in most stores in VT tho.

    That's 2 words. Aren't you a teacher?

You’re going to be in VT next weekend and haven’t booked a place to stay yet? This time of year and that area, you might be hard pressed to find somewhere to stay and if you do you’re likely going to paying a pretty penny, unless that’s not a factor for you.

If you have the chance, enjoy lunch at Lost Nation Brewing in Morrisville.
Right between Alchemist and Hill Farmstead.
Never had a bad meal there, and super solid beers.
    Enjoy your trip

When was the last time you had food there? In my experience about a month ago, since reopening after Covid, the food has been mediocre at best. But the beer is cheap.

Thanks for all recommendations….we did The Alchemist and stayed at Green Mountain Inn.

    Great time in VT!

We tried going to Hill Farmstead, but closed on Sunday/Monday.
