    It's been a while since I've stayed up late enough to start one of these as an American guy haha, but lo and behold it's just turning 12am in California (1am here In colorado) so here we are

    I just finished off Avery's Imperial Oktoberfest Lager a big bold yeasty but smooth and almost deceiving 8% lager with some light figgy notes a whole lot of caramel malts and a nice Doce of noble bittering hops not to mention a bit of alcohol bite. A nice beer and a creative take on imperial style beers. I've had this one before but I remember enjoying that batch more than this one unfortunately

    Drinking a new to me beer from the French Flanders. Actually from Brasserie 3 Monts, it’s a pale ale. 500ml can and 7% ABV.

    I quite like the cans artwork and the lumberjack with a hoppy beard. It’s also good. Nicely bitter and tasty. Could become a regular of mine…

    Basqueland - Imparable IPA

    Enjoying a nice local IPA on the balcony at Donostia, Basque Country, Spain. This is made just down the road at a suburb of the city and it's considered their regular IPA.

    Keler Erretzeta 18 Lager.

    A local staple of Donostia, kind of what Mahou is in Madrid and Damm is in Barcelona. Damm owns Keler at the moment from what I can tell.

    A Jever at Buthanns Bierstube. Jever seems to be the go to beer in Lübeck, along with König Pils. Not complaining!

    Good day BAs! Off to a decent start to the day - feels cool - too cool for the groundhog to be out yet! Thanks @JZH1000 for starting today's thread!
    Well, the garden is reaching fruition. Zukes are dying, tomatoes are ripening, bitter melons are done, peppers are going strong but not yet ripe. The number of fallen apples is finally dropping - under 200 yesterday. I pick them all up daily except for a few the groundhog eats, otherwise we'd be over run with yellow jackets.
    Today's New Breakfast Beer in another blast from the past, again 2005, when apparently I went through a Unibroue cycle.

    Not too shabby - rating 3.7, rDev +2.5%. I'd like to find the cranberry version of this again - I remember it as being quite good!

    No idea at all, but I like this initiative. I still smoke the odd cigarette, but purchase maybe one pack or two a year. My alternative was vaping. Cheaper, much healthier, supposedly.

    Have you tried Lück pils? Had it in Lübeck decades ago in my youth, and somehow have a vision it was the best beer I've ever had :slight_smile:

    Canned 8/4/22. I find that I like this beer more than I had in the past. Light bitter citrus with a bitter linger. I may start drinking this IPA instead of Jai Alai :rolling_eyes: …

    Already 85°, hot and humid here. Mrs. Z is still in bed, almost 17 hours and counting (she does not respond well to international travel). When she is ready, we will continue our journey. Cheers y’all, and have a great day, from Tampa FL!
