The Bierstadt/Jack's Abby Munich Export is available now. No clue how widespread it is, but it's being sold under the Jack's Abby name/distro rather than Bierstadt. I think it's pretty terrific. It's not the exact dead ringer for Edelstoff that "Noble Stuff" was, but it tastes similar to some of the other ones available throughout the Munich area. Snatch it up while it's still super fresh.

I picked up a four pack of that collab at Grapevine last week. Didn't last long in my fridge

German Pilsner at Zwei is incredible.. still quite crispy, but not as bitter as their flagship Pilsner.

Also we decided today that their Weissbier is the perfect compromise for my wife and I when we hook up the kegerator.

Just got a sixer of Call to Arms Session Oktoberfest, and after pouring one, all I can say is that it is flat as fuck. It tastes fine, but I'm guessing it has less than one volume of CO2 in it.

Edit: dumped the first out, and poured a second. It is more carbonated, but still probably lower than most beers if the type. Way more drinkable, though.

There's a 0% chance I make it to Cerebral on 10/8 (it's a GABF day), but I'll hope they still have some of those on tap later.

TRVE is doing something similar on the 6th...which I'm also going to miss for the same reason:

    Sup, y’all??!

This won’t be shocking news, but the dopplebock that Zwei released last weekend is nothing short of amazing.. It’s wild to think that an 8% beer could ever be this smooth. Beautifully red in color with a tan head that seemingly lasted forever… a nice balance of caramel and some tasty/bready flavors complimented the feel of this prize.

Its weird how complex it tastes, yet I’m having a difficult time coming up with flavor descriptors that do this beer justice… maybe that’s because there’s such a nice integration of everything idk.. either way- go get you some if you’re anywhere nearby!

This has proven to be a great choice… we had a Christmas party a couple weeks ago and we had quite the range of guests (from a beer wise perspective) and I couldn’t tell who liked the Weiss beer more: the Bud Light guys or the hetty beer bois.

Zwei is definitely one of those places that makes me jealous of the FoCo folks. Such a wide variety of central European styles, plus their pils speaks to my personal preferences.

On the weissbier front, I'm not even sure who makes the best one in the Denver are anymore. Resolute maybe? Prost? Launch Pad? BJ's? The B&B and Dry Dock only brew their versions sporadically now. Those were the gold standards for non-seasonal takes. The other good ones are just one offs and seasonals. I'd actually be open to some others since it's a style I dig.
