I hung out in Barnstable Harbor for a couple of hours today and got a quick 1/2 bushel of quahogs. I made sure to leave some for @vabeerguy.
I traded some at my local fish monger for a slab of swordfish

I am jealous of the seafood! We are having linguine with clam sauce so I guess that is better than nothing.

Have a good hump day. Working late this week and Julia started her new job today. Nothing but it problems heard from the home office before I left before 9. We are at Lindley Park filling Station for dinner then we are going to walmart for home meals.

I got a wise man evening song. Great stuff! Aromas and flavors of caramel, brown sugar/bread/crust, biscuit, roasted nuts, cocoa, coffee, wood, pepper, pine, herbal, grass, light dark fruit, yeast/roasted earthiness. Moderate pine/herbal/roasted bitter finish. Medium carb and body. Creamy/bready malts, some sticky hops and chalky roast mouthfeel. Light resins and lingering drying with no astringency. The roast level makes this more into brown ale than amber feel, but a great American style. Clean rich malt complexity and balanced earthy hops. Delicious. 4

Had a few at Southern Yankee, always a good brewery.

Who's Paul Pale Ale which is one of the better pale ales around Houston. Starting a new book, Elias Khoury's Children of the Ghetto (My Name is Adam). A Lebanese novelist, and writes some of the best literature I have read about the Middle East, let alone Israel. Maybe more on this later, but its incredibly political, and this book specifically is fairly controversial. All that being said he wrote Gates of the Sun, which is one of my favorite books.

I was going to eat at Southern Yankee, but there was a very large birthday party happening, and I ended up going to a bit more low key place. I love the food and beer here, but man they were rowdy. Not that I'm complaining, just wanted a bit lower key place today ha.
