3 Floyds Brewing (2022)

If it is autumn, I might actually be able to consider going. In Spring, it is always my worst time. Lots of BAs I’d like to meet there. But when it occurs in spring is almost the worst for me. Here’s to hoping autumn.

 

Who knows. I would imagine it would be in May again as that was the typical date, but the probably need to get the distillery space open first so they have more staff for the event.

 

Not only that, but forgot to specify in my post that both Muertes were in the same bag.

 

Picked up my 1 package on Friday around 5:45. Got Handjee and Muerte. Was a little disappointed as I do not like peppers. I ended up trading my Muerte for Casino on one of the FB groups. All in all pretty content. Also picked up some more Crushing Mass.

I had it happen last year in one of my bags. I got two Chemtrail in the same bag last year, but I wasn't going to complain about that.

 

I have no dog in this fight, but we always talk about beer Karma. A part of me says that if I had 2 packages, and I got Handjee, Chemtrailmix and 2 muerte, that I might have not brought it to their attention, because had it been (Chemtrailmix + Meurte and Handjee + Muerte) I would have been happy. That is effectively what happened. However, if it had been, like, Chemtrailmix, Casino and 2 Muerte, and the muerte were same bag, I might have been a little more miffed.

Edit: I know @PhilBallins didnt say anything. Just sort of waxing philosophical.

2 de muerta, 1 banana hammock casino, one handjee. everyone in my group got at least one de muerta.

 

Ha! I forgot they said that. Just figured they couldn't all be winners. Oh well.

 

Okay, Sunday bitching seems to have been minimal which means next DLD announcement the bitching will be entirely about how people can't sit in their cars to pick up their allocation and instead have to get out and walk through a festival full of draft beer tents, metal music, wannabe neck beards for a day, and then wait in a line to get their DL.

Also, the Casino Beach reviews on untappd seem to be trending up.

 

We cracked a bottle of the regs, and everything thought it was strong to quite strong. It's still sweet af but they seemed to have toned down some of the sweetness.

 

Okay...what in the world is going on with the ChemTrailMix entries again? It's as if they are actively crumbling apart like the old sphinx.

Adding to the above point of reference, 2022 is Rye. I think we simply need the two entries to remove years from the name, and instead add the years to the notes.

And then someone needs to lock it down so only @FBarber or someone can ever edit it again

Btw @kodt the darklordday.info site is still wrong about 2021 CTM. It incorrectly refers to rye, twice.

This says 2021 was Rye, which is where I copy and pasted the descriptions from when I updated the site (which was before anyone had bottles in hand).

Just looked at a 2021 bottle and it says Bourbon... so their website was wrong I guess. Probaby the web dev copy and pasting lol

I made a similar error in a pre DLD post trusting the 2021 Three Floyd’s own DL site and everyone corrected me. You’d expect the source (FFF) to be correct, but it wasn’t. Thanks for compiling all the DLD data!

 

In this case, I actually did feel like a dufus typing all that...but hey, it is what it is

I noticed it when adding it back to my Gots. I tried to ignore it but it bugged me enough to mention it again. OCD...a blessing and a curse.

i take full fucking responsibility for this and have been meaning to message you about how to fix it! i’ve also been waiting to add my review for the bourbon chemtrail until things get corrected. i agree though, probably getting @FBarber involved and using two entries denoted by barrel type (not year) is best.
