Maybe he added a $3.24 tip in for the programmers?

The more these service fees go up, the less excited I am about the beer. I would much rather pay more for the beer and have the money go directly to the brewery than the 3rd party service skimming off an unreasonable amount. When did craft beer become a Ticketmaster concert venue? This charge doesn't even factor in the tip for the employees, which I'm sure goes down as the consumer has to make up for the increasing service fee. I'll beat a dead horse, but the more these 3rd party releases or exclusive app releases occur, the more impressed I am that Three Floyds figured out how to do this all off their web-site without any added fees to the consumer.

I tipped $5. So that's fun that an additional 3ish dollars got added in service fees.

I complete agree regarding the fees, which is one of the many reasons I don't participate in OZNR releases. I thought the Half Acre pricing was pretty competitive for an adjunct stout these days, so I didn't mind this one so much.

Completely unrelated, but I took a work trip to Philly last week. Your avatar makes much more sense now.

We actually discussed this last stout season as well. Lots of people talked about trying to find a way to tip at pickup because of just what a crock of horseshit it is.

I think they made finding the link to purchase a pain in the ass. It was listed in the comments section of one of the Instagram posts and if it wasn't posted here on the forum I wouldn't have found it.

So you guys cost me money today.

Completely forgot about this...just waltzed in a minute ago & got 4 cans.

Shout out to @Jaycase for the handy link.

Sales tax is now on the purchase price, so everyone saved ~$5

Agreed with all of this. I think the other issue is that a lot of people aren't quite 'geared up' for stout season yet, and looking for releases yet.

All limited whiskey in Ohio goes through state lottery. But you have to enter. Those are sort of randomly announced (although there is some predictability). That said, I *feel* like there are fewer entrants during the summer months. People just aren't thinking about it, aware, and if you only have a few days (in this case, literally 2), then I think it's easy to slip through. Plus, if they allowed 4-cans per, they likely made more or expected a lower turnout (or both!).

Right? I'm always geared up. I just passed today. My morning was hectic and I was in meetings at 9am. I took a peek at 10:04 and it was still there. Surprised by that. I still passed. I'm getting fatigued (wallet, and just in general) with beer releases.

Now, maybe if they used gelatin like they did with Soak in the Shadows I wouldve been all in. What's this vegan marshmallow horseshit?!

That just means they used marshmallow not made with egg. I only know this because I have a daughter that is allergic to egg.

    I know bud. It's a (bad) joke.

Also, that moment when you realized this is the first HA BA release you've skipped since making the mistake of passing on OG Catch Hell and you're okay with it. Maybe I'm finally turning a corner?
