Lazy morning, long walk with the pooch and now a beer in the very cool weather.

    Enjoy

Busy day so far! Been alternating between watching college football and Aaron Judge's at bats, with a break for a couple posts on the Oktoberfest Tasting thread. Now watching Carolina-Notre Dame with my favorite New Jersey regularly-brewed DIPA - Kane's Over Head. Cheers!

When I lived in Boulder we went to Leadville for a weekend and did a huge x country ski day. Ended at a Mexican joint and too many beers. I was in top shape in those years and there was no brewery then either.

    Enjoy

Happy Saturday BA's! Enjoyed a trip down to Greenville, SC earlier today which is about 45 miles from our house for a little his (Total Wine) and her (Target') shopping plus lunch at The Yardhouse. Enjoyed a 30 oz draft Hacker-Pschorr Dunkelweizen and a Korean Cheesesteak sandwich (no photos) and Da Boss enjoyed her Gaffel Kolsch and sandwich. Then onto Spartanburg for some shopping at the Costco there which is much less busy than the Greenville Costco.
Onto round 2 & 3, staying with the German theme and enjoying the always dangerously easy drinking Salvator while watching a little college football. Funny while at The Yardhouse all of a sudden, the music stopped and the commentary from a pre-game show came on which we thought was odd...sure enough it was the Clemson-Wake Forest game...guess i need to understand i am in the holy land of Clemson Tiger football on Saturday and church on Sunday LOL!
    Cheers!

This is a beautiful fuckin beer, it's going to get high ratings from me. If I had the proper funds atm I'd have bought more in a heartbeat. I'm completely satisfied with what I got tho. I was wanting at least a pint and I got that. I am sipping and enjoying this 1. I never thought I'd see this in Dallas.

    Cheers y'all!

At Windmill Brewing trying a few of their new stouts. This one is called We All Float Down Here. Collab with Black Horizon. Imperial Stout with Sprechers Root Beer and vanilla. Tastes like a root beer float with dark chocolate and some caramel. This is pretty outrageous, but it works.

16 ounce can with no packaging date, but we just received a couple cases on Thursday of this new offering from Tunbridge, VT; so, a week old?

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one and a half inch white, fluffy head over a cloudy body with sticky lacing. Clump of head is still floating on top almost halfway through.

Nose of tropical fruit and a tad citrus with a bit of floral attributes as well.

Taste is where this shines with wonderful tropical fruit up front through the middle and a nice citrus pith bitterness at the finish.

    Nice medium mouthfeel.

Overall, I definitely recommend this one for all you hazybois out there.
Seek this out and you won't be disappointed (if you can find it!)

    Cheers!!!

This is a much better Saison. True Anomaly's Small Giant Grisette. As always a wonderful local brewery, and I'll take their Saison's over Jester King...but thats like my opinion.

Small Giant, leads me into GIANT STEPS from John Coltrane of coarse. Excellent mid 60's reissue of this masterpiece.

Windmill BA Nuts & Jolts (Imperial Milk Stout with chocolate, coffee, and peanut butter aged in Willett and Heaven Hill barrels for 14 months). Get a nice barrel presence which can be rare with barrel aged pastry stouts with a significant amount of coffee. The chocolate and peanut butter come through more as it warms. This is great stuff. I’ll be getting a 2 pack to go for sure.
