Kicked things off with Troegs Scratch Beer #83 (¿Impending Decent?), followed by Victory Red Thunder. The Troegs RIS was delicious, but Victory's red wine barrel-aged Baltic Thunder is exceptional.

OK, the extra aged Gouda is my favorite damn cheese, those crystals are like sugar, more like fudge than cheese,..... and I love goat cheese and everyone knows my penchant for yellow labs. :sunglasses:

I guess I have to plan a trip to MN! Winters are mild there, right? Like the Bermuda of the Midwest!

Aged Gouda have a particular name? I like most but not too smokey.

My friend still has about 6 bottles of the 3 Day and I did get him a Hitachino glass for Christmas! I think it will be very happy!

Hitachino is really amazing and I love em all! I want to try the hop liqueur they make too!

Extra-aged Gouda, it's completely different from standard Gouda or smoked Gouda. It really is excellent, I like it with Tripels myself as a beer pairing. It can be on the pricey side but you can do well if you find it at a warehouse club.

    Cheers!

I'm enjoying a New Belgium Shift. Initially I wrote it off, but it's very nice and clean for what it's supposed to be. And being that I want a nice clean end of the day beer, I'll take it! That and I don't want to break into my Baton Burton's yet. Currently on holiday in Pennsylvania, I can't wait to pick up some more craft.

Oh and I had some space left in some packages I put gifts in so I threw in two cans of the shift to ship back here from Cali. Other can I shipped goes to my macro only drinking brother, I plan on convincing him to try it. : )
