    Ahhh yes. Now we're talkin'...A true Oktoberfest brewskie. Spaten Oktoberfest UR-MARZEN. Smooth to the point of almost creamy. A photo finish score with Hacker-Pschorr IMHO. Nothing but pure excellence. Feelin' lucky to have it. Prost!!

    Good freakin' afternoon, advocates! Just got off the phone w/ some people in California that wanted to deliver some good news. It's one of the main reasons I'm going out there and I couldn't be more over the moon right now. Once I'm officially in Cali, I'll let everyone in on the secret. This is the Hunter speaking, so you know it's probably beer-related. Haha! I could literally cry tears of joy. Now I will celebrate w/ a beer that has Nelson in it. What else, right? DDH Citra + Nelson from Other Half. Citra & Nelson have always tended to play nice together. I love you. Cheers!!!

    One thing that I didn't realize when I made these travel plans is that today is Tag der Deutschen Einheit (German Unity Day), so everything is closed. Tomorrow is a big bottle share, but today is gas station beer back at the hotel. I'm not complaining, as I don't have much life in me after 28 hours straight of being awake! Prost!

    Even a sub-par Märzen beats the pants off most beer styles for my tastes.

    This one from 14th Star is one such beer.

    Some of them do turn into Barleywines!!! :slight_smile:

    I haven't had that one yet. Should probably buy a bottle and let it age for 5 years. I do have a bottle of Founders Devil Dancer from 2015 stashed away.
