HOTS does a great job with the peanut butter addition. I'm right there with you, usually PB is the main attraction and that's usually not a good thing because it's such an overpowering flavor/feel. It's either over the top to the point where the beer is sickly sweet, or it's a painfully artificial flavor a la Reese's Puffs that isn't typically executed well, especially in lower ABV beer.

But I would say PB isn't the main focus of HOTS; its addition is balanced and restrained. I don't feel that they built the beer around PB, but rather focused on creating a solid base beer with chocolate and coffee and used PB as the finishing touch to tie it all together. Well done and one of my favorite PB beers. Certainly worth a try.

Since this is the Treehouse thread and I have been scolded myself before by locals, I'll ask the question, Is "in the fence" like being " On the Cape"?

It’s when you’ve lived on the fence so long that you’ve merged with it and become a part of it. At that point you are essentially “in” it.

TH line updates IG posted screen shot of Tewksbury themed mixed cases from the ordering menu. When I saw that, I went to the TH website and clicked on the Tewksbury link, and it said October 10th. It seems that has now been taken down. My guess would be either this Monday, or next.

When I'm on the Cape, I've always been in the fence about waiting on line.

Meh… subpar for Tree House. Factoring in the “TH bump” it should be at least 4.7…

Really digging some of the newer beers from my latest trip. Blueberry Brunch was really interesting. Not super sweet like many of their Stouts, and very coffee forward with just a hint of blueberry to push it over the edge. Punch might be (to my knowledge) the closest they've come to WCIPA. Not exactly in that realm, but I was surprised by the malt backbone and more herbal hops

    Holiday weekends are no joke.

Stopped in for a can pickup and the line was as long as I’ve seen in years. Moved super quickly but still surprising to see.

Has anyone done the beer to go at Tewksbury yet? I was just curious on the time window for pick up. Is it fairly efficient? I work a few minutes from there and would love to pick up some beer at lunchtime instead of after work.
    Thanks!
