Anybody try the HB x Half Acre collab that just dropped, yet? Had the the one from a few years back and wasn't impressed.

Had it on draft last week. It’s awesome. It’s different than Burl, but I think Burl fans would dig it. Side note, it’s a new recipe from the original batch.

Actually interested in Triple Grid. Could be killer.
    And hopefully clear.

Triple Grid is pretty solid! It's been awhile since I went with HB on a hazy (mostly because I've really gotten sick of the sweetness they share with a bunch of other local breweries), but there's enough bite on this one to not only hide the sweet, but the dangerous abv. Nice hope combo, and I've always been a sucker for this sort of "creamy" color in my beer (reminds me a little of the movie American Pie, but that's not why I like it lol).

Jumping into the thread to spy-from-a-distance and get hot takes on WHEN the HB LIncoln location will be open. I asked a while ago, they kept saying "maybe September."
    Now it's September...
    cheers.

They're hoping to open shortly after Pipeworks opens their taproom.

Had it the other day, pretty solid. Been liking the non hazy offerings that HB has been releasing this year.

Not sure we’re taking about the same beer. This was produced at half acre, and it was indeed hazy

HB went to Solemn Oath to collaborate on a Viking IPA.

cracked a can tonight. Anyone who grew up chasing Pipeworks Ninja bombers should go grab a 4pk. Lots of Citra and Simcoe

the ratings on untappd are already tanked. Pay no mind. Haze boys gonna haze boy

Nice, I'll have to grab this! Some of these thiol-driven yeasts do create flavors that some may perceive as rotten fruit or "sweaty". They can be polarizing.

On a general note of Hop Butcher - anyone else notice over the years that some of their really fresh beers have tons of hop burn? I'll see this from Day 1 check-in's and a bunch that I've had before, sousually wait about 1 week to try any of their freshly released NEIPA's.

It just makes me wonder why they don't wait a week on some of these...

Don’t think solemn oath has ever used any thiolized yeast, seemed pretty standard American ale yeast type profile.

I once had an HB beer that was undrinkable for over a month due to overwhelming hop burn and then one day pulled another can out of the fridge and it was fantastic.

I know it wasn’t that one batch of Galaxy Bowl. Purposely held onto one can for about 6 months and it was still all hop burn.
And they haven’t made it since.

It was the maroon can one with the yellow beige telescope on it. Can't recall the name- maybe Telehopic?
