    I couldn’t agree with you more, but the people you have mentioned (all great BA’s btw) include a beer in their posts, and that satisfies the What Beer Are You Drinking Now part of the forum. Some people aren’t doing that.

    ...of the few dangerous off-topic things that one needs to tread lightly on in this forum - not verboten, but caution and discretion is required if one wants to go down that path, otherwise, the history of topics other than beer is long and varied in WBAYDN?...

    I actually see all side of this little argument here, I’ve been hanging out in this thread since I started as a BA… that was seven years ago, a painful reminder of how many beers I’ve downed. Yes, even back then we talked about all and anything but first and foremost beer.

    I’m only curious as to what you would refer to decline in this thread? I see less participation than several years ago for sure.

    This thread used to easily hit 10 pages on a busy Thursday, and got to 20 more on weekends at some point. Neither of which have been seen in recent months.

    The key thing and word is decline? I don’t know, it’s a quality thread considering that we’re… yes, drinking. It could be far worse, and more silly/childish/puerile but it’s level headed whatever we discuss outside of the taboo things mentioned by @Beersnake1

    I will add: births, showers (you know who I’m talking about), ultramarathons, weightlifting, promotion to Poo-Bah, weather, anniversaries, and just about anything else! Cheers!

    Actually the last thing I want to post about this is @beergoot almost always puts beer in his posts and he is a top notch BA. Decline, fewer posters and fewer posts. Migration to regional parts of the forum, Instagram and Untapped

    2014 was when I had the Sierra Nevada Ovila. It had sage in it. Memorable but because of the ingredient used. Still was a good abbey style

    Tree House - Old Growth (Kentucky Common)

    First time (I think) trying this historic style. You can definitely taste the corn, while the dark malts offer a nice contrast to the lingering sweetness. Quite nice actually. Really enjoying it.

    Nothing unfortunately we, as members, mods and even the site admin/Founder can do about it. Almost every forums have been on some sort of decline for years thanks to social medias.

    Best we can do is just keep the BA community lively, engaging. Also this thread.

    Wait, I smell dirt… oh that’s nothing it’s @vabeerguy :grinning:

    I feel like I've missed something here, as all is about as it has been for quite a long time. Yes, fewer posters, but as you say, that's everywhere. But all of what I see here is of the same variety I've seen for years. :confused:

    This past weekend I went to the Battle for the Airfield, WWII re-enactment at the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, MA. Over 300 re-enactors and 20+ vintage authentic tanks and vehicles participated in recreating the actual battle to take the Aachen Airfield! You may have seen this tank collection on the History Channel. We got to walk through the Allied and Axis camps before the battle, and view all of their weapons, supplies, and authentic uniforms. The re-enactors earn rank through their participation over the years. It was a magnificent piece of history! Here's the video:

    Enjoying a Trillium Double Dry Hopped Stillings Street. This uses Nelson Sauvin hops which i did not like quite as well as the DDH Melcher Street i enjoyed earlier. Still a very enjoyable beer!

    I used to live a short drive from there. Beautiful state Wyoming is. I often day dream of returning for good but too many roots keep me in the Great Lakes State. Cheers and enjoy my friend.
