Grew up in Maple Hts., moved to Brunswick before I got "drafted". My brother moved out while I was getting shot at and still lives in Sagamore Hills (Summit County). Probably the same parks.

Drekker Chonk Birthday Cake Sundae Sour, 7% ABV. Pours thick and opaque rust color, with a one finger light-red head that left puree residue. Nose is raspberry, strawberry, and cake/vanilla. Taste is raspberry, strawberry, and coconut, slightly sweet, slightly tart, and slight cake aftertaste. Decent creamy mouthfeel, overall excellent. Nose is much better than the taste.

This was our first cool (49F) fall day, but I haven't given up on wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Screw winter, I refuse.

 

My go to for a long time now: Summit Triumphant Session Ale. Just can't say enuf good things about this beer and I do love it's dietary numbers as well.
So I get into my truck last night after a band rehearsal and the low beam headlights didn't work. High beams 25 miles home and nobody flipped me the bird!. Not a bad fuse. Relay #46. 5 minutes to diagnose problem, 5 min to pull fried part. Bought this morning for $46 shipped. Probly a 250 dollar job at a repair shop. No way man. Cheers!!

 

That was probably back when they had the greatest mix six pack ever...

Well, guess I missed some light banter early on, glad that dust has settled.
I'd agree things are a little more sparse, relaxed, and less tense around here.
But that might be a good thing.
Half Acre Fremont Ectoplasm, an IPA. 7% - canned about 6 weeks ago.

Not sure why I just don't find this all that compelling; it looks great, nice fluff, something in the taste of it suggests a kind of rotten-hop-rye transitional whiff and taste that I just... can't get too excited about. One of the "fine, no, really it's fine" beers that occasionally each of these great breweries will put out. But collaborations are hard. And I think the other beer lately has been spoiling ME.

Apparently this is my first Czhech Dark Lager

And it's delicious. Schilling knows what's up.

How is it? I passed on it when I bought a case of stuff there two weeks back. It was hard not to add one more four pack, but I had to draw the line somewhere.

He has TWO new books coming out this year. This first comes out Oct 25 and can't freaking wait.
