Not super related, but I think a blend of an oak aged barley wine with a fresh Yakima Glory would be outstanding.

Are they distributing these? Haven't seen them in NJ...

The ones I saw were in north NJ- I'm guessing Hunterdon is handling it.

Can't find any info on distribution from hunterdon or gb. If anyone has seen them in monmouth, middlesex, ocean, etc. please post where.

The first one, Red Thunder, is all over the place in north NJ.

Not sure. The guys in the retail store weren't sure that any was hitting distro, but again they said they didn't know.

Wait they produced different amounts for each of the variations? I don't remember reading that.

All I remember hearing was Oak Ho was "less." Again I cannot confirm with any solid info, sorry. I want to say my friend who picked up Red Thunder at the brewery was told that by the retail staff but again I cannot confirm.

Their twitter feed sez it's hitting PA and some NJ distro, so it seems pretty limited. I got my stash though, and I'm drinking one now - it's very good!

I just popped open a Red Thunder, and I must say I'm surprised by how good it is. I wasn't really expecting much and the initial aroma threw me for a loop, but it's really a solid baltic porter with a little bit of fruity tannins and a very dry finish. Much better than that alcoholic abortion Otto in Oak.

got some Oak Ho today... haven't popped one open yet but can't wait. the Red Thunder was pretty enjoyable, but like others posters I'm looking forward to seeing what it does with some age. I love that they're really expanding the barrel-aging program. can't wait to see what else develops once the new Parkesburg site is up and running next summer.

Monmouth and Ocean counties' Victory distributor is Ritchie & Page (AB house). As noted above by "tbone", it is not a Hunterdon brand and is mostly distributed in NJ by AB houses (High Grade, R&P, Harrison, Konrad) as well as Nash. See Victory's NJ Wholesalers

Red Thunder was very solid but I have to say I prefer Baltic Thunder (sans barrel aging).

Victory is handled by the Bud houses.

Red Thunder came out around Thanksgiving. Oak Horizontal should be next week or the first of January. White Monkey not til Feb. Red and White are priced the same; Oak is more. Prolly $13ish from what I heard.

Apologies for the speculation re: Hunterdon, and thanks for clearing it up.

FWIW- I did get Red Thunder on Friday and there was still plenty at Linwood Wines in Fort Lee.
