16oz cans for 10.5% abv beer. This is one of their rare missteps.

Yes. Their releases seem to hit store shelves relatively quickly (at least in the Chicagoland area) so I would expect to see it in most stores here in the next 7-10 days.

And it used to come in 12oz bottles which made the most sense. Anything 10% or higher should be 12oz.

i can see that point. CheerTeam and even Broo Doo makes sense in a pint can but PF, Panzer, Dread Naught could all be 12oz 4pks since they’re higher ABV.

edit: i am aware Broo Doo has never been canned

This is all 100% personal preference though. Me personally, I wish it were still in bombers along with Dreadnaught, BrooDoo, Artic Panzer Wolf, etc . There really is no "correct" answer.

I'm always perplexed by this response. I don't understand why anyone prefers a larger format to a small one if you can buy just as much total volume. You're limiting yourself by having a larger format - you have fewer choices. Unless you just like the look of a larger bottle, it doesn't make much sense to me.

maybe one 16oz can isn’t enough but two is a little more than enough? at that point, a bomber might be considered the perfect size?

I guess, but then we're talking 22oz vs. 24 oz for 2 cans. Just always odd to me.

can see how it’s odd. i’m always torn when it comes to bigger stouts and barleywines. if it’s a bomber or a 750, i can enjoy it with friends but i also am a big fan of the rev and half acre 12oz cans. easy to take down by myself.

Not everyone is in to multiples when one big one gets the job done.

If you're talking can size only - which is what started this convo - a lot of people want more than 12 ounces but not 24 (a second can), so 16 can be perfect.

I agree with the comment above though that for a beer like Permanent Funeral 12oz cans would make more sense.

My comment was about 12oz cans vs. 22oz bombers. Not 16oz cans. 16oz cans is a personal preference over 12oz cans. 22oz bombers make zero sense to me over 12oz cans, but *shrug*.

Bombers are stupid and I think most breweries have noticed that and that's why you don't see many of them now.

You could argue that smaller formats are even better for sharing than bombers since you get more individual beers and more volume for like $4 more than the old cost of a bomber
