How about them double dry hopped beers, eh? DRY HOPS.

I caught the very start of fresh hop releases when I was up in Portland, and have a friend up there who has sent more down. Some great examples out of Breakside and Von Ebert that I was lucky enough to try.

Why the hate for single dry hopped beers?

I'm tired and not inclined to get into this discussion at the moment. But, wet does not equate to fresh. Full stop.

Never, and maybe a few times. But I will not elaborate.

For the price point, and the availability, Revolution BA cans are some of the best for sure. Rev needs to stay away from weird adjuncts though. Please do not put raspberries in my barleywine. Or maple syrup.

Let me preface this by saying I'm super sad that you can't include me in your crazy data analysis, because I enjoy those posts! However, I've had 14 Fremont BA beers in the last few years (leaning heavily into their barleywines and less into their stouts), and about 20 from Revolution, and I'd be hard pressed to choose one over the other. Both do barleywine very well.

I get the feeling that the last time I had access to revolution was around the time they started getting serious with their barrel program

I’m considering another hint today but I think the next one will be a dead giveaway.

A couple of hints, since I missed posting one yesterday:

Hint #14 - Your State House, and State Senate has fewer members than my state does. Your Senate has about half mine does, and your House has about 20 fewer than mine does.
Hint #15 - The college I went to - St. Cloud State University - is in the NCHC league for Division 1 Hockey. If your state has a team in the NCHC, you're still in.

    Previous Hints:

Hint #1 - My target lives at a lower elevation than I do.
Hint #2 - My target does not live in the 3 states I've not had beer from (New Mexico, Rhode Island, West Virginia).
Hint #3 - My target does not live in the same time zone as I do.
Hint #4 - I've only been to your state once, on a layover, back in 2005.
Hint #5 - Jerry Reed had a hit song in 1977. Said song really goes well with what we do here. The title of that song tells you which ways I'm shipping.
Hint #6 - I could reach your state by water.
Hint #7 - Apparently my target hasn't had many beers from my state, or surrounding states (as far as I can tell). This will change.
Hint #8 - Your state was part of the original United States.
Hint #9 - I have had beers from your state, and your state is somewhere in my top 20.
Hint #10 - Trillium Brewing is apparently over in Wisconsin now, if you live in the state where it's made, I'm sorry, you're out of the running.
Hint #11 - In 2018 I went on a vacation to a great state, that has a highly decorated WW II era battleship named after it, and said ship sits in a harbor of said state. I took the tour of the ship in 2011, and loved it. Sadly, anyone who lives in this state is excluded. I did enjoy the beers from that state when I visited in 2018, and have had 10 beers from said state.
Hint #12 - I have had the misfortune to have a layover at Newark Airport twice. Sadly if you live in that state, you're out.
Hint #13 - Your state has more Congressional Districts than mine does.

If the good folks at UPS are to be trusted, a surprise BIF-adjacent box should be landing on Friday. Keep your eyes peeled…

Hint 1: Michael Brown finished his basketball career as assistant coach for the Chicago Bulls in 2008.

Hint 2: At 6 feet, 10 inches tall, Michael Brown earned the nickname, “The New Washington Monument” while playing for George Washington University in the early 1980’s.

Hint 3: Scoring nearly 2300 points in 5 seasons with the Utah Jazz, Mike brown earned the nickname “The Brown Bear” from esteemed Jazz announcer, Rodney Clark “Hot Rod” Hundley.

Hint 4: If I add the year Michael Brown started his basketball career to the year he finished his basketball playing career and then add the total number of points he scored over that time period, that total number is still over 800 less than the number representing my targets zip code.

Hint 5: At 257 pounds, 6’ 10”, it is more than likely that Michael Brown wore at least 2 shirt sizes larger than my target.

Hint 6: If you don’t have a “B” somewhere in your legal name; as in Michael Brown, you’re not my target.

Hint 7: In the same regard as Michael Brown could have once been considered “King of the Court”, I don’t doubt my target could be considered king of his respective “court”.

Hint 8: Utah. Where Michael Brown had his longest stretch as a professional basketball player is home to a state park with a large population of these animals that my target seems to identify with.
