Hairy Eyeball- I always tried it, didn't love it, was good definitely. I'd say my third favorite over the years has been Brown Shugga. Very unique beer that's great for fall/ winter months.

you mean Unrefined Shugga . i tried the new version and it was way too sweet. Hairy Eyeball was always a great cheap bomber buy .
I miss Imperial Stout bombers...can not believe they axed that as it always sold everywhere i went. Same with Lagunitas Red and Copper Ale. What a disappointing brewery. Went from my favorite to my leadt favorite within 2 years.
Cheers to Lagunitas , The Ex Beer brewers and now Hard Tea and Hop Water Makers.

This is what I will forever love lagunitas for. So many $4-5 bombers of absolutely wonderful beer. I used to drink them like 40s in my stoop kid days, Ballin on a Budget right there. I'd argue the case against any cheap 40 on strictly economic terms even, you're getting damn near the same amount of alcohol and your long term health care savings are through the roof

Yeah, exactly this. A bomber of fresh Hop Stoopid was always such a treat especially when I was on a tight budget. And who can forget those 32oz shelf turds of Lagunitas Sucks? They were kinda fun for a little bit, though I think it was more expensive per oz than the six packs.

If they took the impy stout bombers out of retirement thats all that would be in my fridge.
crazy to think that back then you could choose between Imperial Stout, Hop Stoopid, Hairy Eyeball, Cappuconi Stout and High Westified bombers ( when in rotation) for 5 plus tax!

Even with todays inflation i would pay 7 + tax for these fuckers anyday

Don't forget IPA, Lucky 13, Maximus, and other rotating options. All $5 pretty much.

And they were part of a whole crop of northern California breweries putting good strong shit in bombers for about that price. Moylan's, Mendocino Brewing, Marin Brewing, Speakeasy, Bear Republic, Eel River, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. It was a wild time to be young and drunk in NorCal

i wouldn't buy the ipa a lot but maximus , lucky 13 and idk why Mongo something is in my head.
Moylans Kilt Lifter used to be like 4 bucks at bevmo.
I'm so close to putting out an ISO for 2 growlers of Moylans Imperial Stout and KiltLifter now:joy:
I just purchased a Racer 5 stovepipe and enjoyed the fuck out of it out in Palm Springs. Also saw some other beer by them . Hop Rod Rye used to be a regular purchase for me.
Wonder if once this anmoying beer bubble bursts it'll maybe go back to half them days

dogtown was an under appreciated pale ale. I always liked it better than their ipa.

Those High Westified 6-packs for like $10.99... I had never found a better deal before and something tells me we never will again.

Really hoping this prolonged timeline mean extra time in the barrel rather than older beer or tanked beer prior to finishing (with coffee). Seems like space would be an issue, so leaving it in barrels for longer makes the most sense, but…

I used to be able to get 22s of Hop Stoopid for $4 back in the day. I just saw some stovepipes of the new Maximus for the same price which isn't bad. I still haven't tried it yet but plan to at some point.

I've never really been a big fan of Willetized but I will probably grab one this year. I think the first year they did High Westified was the best of this series. I am not sure if Ballast Point is doing High West Victory At Sea anymore, and if they are we don't get it here, so maybe this one can fill the void.

Interesting. I also see it shows contents under fresher (their wet hop beer that replaced born yesterday last year) says Oct 24. I find it odd that there has been no mention of this beer from them this year and also that a wet hopped beer be released so late. Im a little skeptical as to the validity of the dates of these two beers.
