Per an IG comment, BBT draft is only for Tuesday of Cellar week. I really don’t understand this. It makes it such a pain in the ass for the staff and customers to deal with bottles.

BBT 2021 being on draft for like a month last year was great

 

There was a time when draft was cheaper than bottles. That was part of the allure of visiting. You could not only get more oz for cheaper, but you didn't have to commit to buying an entire bottle (to go or on-site). That has since changed. This spring, La Ruche was $7 for a 5oz pour - more expensive than the to-go bottle. BBT last year was, what, $12 for 5oz? That'd be a $60 bottle. That's same as in the package. Makes me wonder if draft price will be more this year. Regardless, makes you miss the days when draft was cheaper than the bottle.

The strategy of making people buy bottles probably increases overall receipt size by keeping people there longer (and likely more palate cleansers from other draft options).

 

Curious to they mentioned draft only tuesday night? did they say bottle service the remainder of the week or is tuesday the only day for BBT?

 

Bottles will start after draft on Tuesday and will probably be available through January like last year.

Were they tasting single barrels of stout? Spending a day tasting SP barrels and blending would be a dream come true.

 

yes, if you read the TWCP blog post, they tasted through 5 different single barrels (the bottles with blue tape i assume) and picked one for a release i think.

 

Is BBT 2022 no limit? Don’t see any info at all on the page saying anything about limits.

Looked at your original post to compare the pages. Seems notable that that particular part on the page about limits is now no longer there. Why would they remove that part? Did they change their mind on limits? It would be good to have some clarity from SP here.

 

the language on the post now is still singular though (“your package” when discussing pick ups)

 

Pretty strange. Can't recall a single time where SP didn't say "LIMIT ONE".

 

Oh damn it. Cellar doing on-site D16 starting tonight, not tomorrow.

 

Was planning on having a chill night at the cellar drinking some Content Moderator. Guess we will see if it is jam packed at 4 lol
