Batch 2 was literally the worst liquid I've ever tasted. Not whiskey. Liquid. It tasted like you soaked the cedar chips that the janitor at the school kept for "accidents" in moonshine.

Suspiciously specific about janitor wood chips and moonshine…

Sandwich at opening is the call. We were the only one’s there for a while and nice and mellow. Very good list but have to say for anyone looking for the classics(haze, green or Julius) they never seem to have them on. Outside of that it was a good time and Mega treat and MOC were fantastic. Stoked to try the new coffee

I thought Extra Spooky was the best beer I've had from them all year. Nice to see Nelson properly utilized

I would love to see the abv and also caffeine content on all their products. I must be getting old

I assume the answer to this is yes, however, the site is silent to it (at least that I could see) - does Deerfield allow you to split 16 oz pours into two 8 oz pours as well?

I had two of their farmhouse ales recently.

Halo Effect, a white wheat mixed fermentation table beer (4.4%) and Whereabouts, another mixed ferm beer with wheat and spelt at 5.6%. I'd been eager to try a Tree House farmhouse beer for a long time and I'm glad to have tried them.

Whereabouts was more classic saison yeast -- think more Tank 7 than Oxbow. The table beer was a little more fruit-forward and finished dry. I definitely liked both of them, but would probably give the nod to Halo Effect. This is 100% preference and probably more due to ABV than anything else (I've historically been a spelt fan).

In other news, Pizzeria Pils in bottles hit the spot alongside, you guessed it, pizza (eggplant and ricotta over sauce and cheese). Little Ripper is a phenomenal little pale ale. 100% would buy those two beers again in bottles.

I liked them both in cans. What makes them better in bottles?

Actually, no. What they will do (did do, in the case of myself and mammosilenus) is give you an extra plastic cup and look the other way.

I didn't mean split a 16 oz between two people - more what they do at Charlton, where you can get two different 8 oz pours with your 16 oz purchase

I was impressed. I'm actually not a big Nelson fan, but it was utilized very well with Extra Spooky. It's a great hop combo, overall.
