Just acquired a bottle of this via trade. Bottle is one of 300 or something, batch 32057. Definitely looking to drink this, but was curious if there was a back story/more info on this beer. One-time release? Anyone know much about this?
It has been released twice. This year's 4 Elf and the 2010 4 Elf (very, very small quantities in 2010. I am sure someone knows the bottle count). This years was aged in a spent Lambeak wants Raspberry barrel. It was $15 for a 750 ml bottle this year.
Is it just the regular Pt5 that was put into the barrels, or the BBPt5 that went into the raspberry barrels?
Cool - was also trying to determine if this was from 2010 or this year. The bottle total on my bottle is 304.
It's this year's for sure. It's hard to read the ink, but it looks like I have bottle #14 of 304. I am pretty sure The Sour 3 Guys was not intentionally soured.
Has anyone tasted it? Interested to see what I could compare it to, have not seen any reviews for this specific beer.
Any updates here? A friend of mine went to the brewery last week and picked up 2 bottles of it. Very interested to hear thoughts. Surprised its still available if it was a 4elf release.
Ouch. No wonder it was still available last week. As is 4Elf all over. *sigh* I love DH. I will probably "enjoy" this Aigre. Question: how does the BBPt5 get out? Brewery only? Small distro? Do they typically announce it?
