It’s been mentioned before about that detail being removed (limit 1) from the original link, etc., but even now in this IG post and the details on the web, it does just say package not packages. Implying a singular package limit.

    We shall see Sunday.

it’s always been 1pp. i don’t see that changing now.

I don’t see it changing ever. They went from having it on site for one weekend and sporadic one day tappings to having it on site for almost three months last year. I think it’s way more important to them to have it on-site for an extended period than to get extra bottles in people’s possession.

not only that, but i think they realize it’s their most popular release. which is ironic, because it’s also to my knowledge the only annual release they do. everything else is “when it’s ready” and of course can be 2-3 years apart from blends being released. but with BBT, it’s “we’re going to have this ready every November”

It's their most popular release, because a schedule allows for/creates it. In economics, it's called a coordination problem (game).

When you have random releases, you're only targeting the people that are deep into the hobby. When you a coordinated release (i.e. every year like clockwork on the same day or at the same time, with plenty of warning), you're reaching a much bigger audience. No longer are breweries and consumers trying to 'make a match' - instead, a date and time for that match has been set. In this case, it's a time of year rather than the same day, but in other case (i.e. Black Friday) it's the day. It's one of the reasons why BCBS is so popular - because even non-nerds know that it comes out on black Friday. And they like stouts, so, lets go, bro. Same thing here. If they did a random drop online of BBT with the same quantity they will release this year, but at 1pp, I bet it would stay up for at least an hour. After an hour, I bet the 7-degrees of connection would create enough webs to make it sell out.

Consistency is good when you want people to buy your shit and the quantity isn't extremely limited.

valid points for sure. i think that due to the fact that they’ve been able to increase their barrel stock over the last several years and there are no additives going in, this allows for a bigger yield. and yes, i agree that having a set time and day each year allows for a wider audience. throw in proxies allowed and your audience gets even bigger.

I agree with these points, and I'm not going to risk it by trying for more than one package. It is at least interesting that they removed (not long after the details were made available on the BBT 2022 site) the very specific conditions about 1pp, including the statement that orders containing more than one package would be cancelled. Maybe they now have a way to limit orders to one package, making it moot?

by the time you read how many you’re allowed to purchase it’ll be too late to get one anyway. it’s a sick and twisted game we all play.

That’s a great package. Can definitely justify the cost for those bottles. Tuesday afternoon emails are undefeated.

Don't see an e-mail, so I assume it's fight club. Anyone mind letting the rest of us lowly fucks in on the details?

in the past we have received various white labels throughout the year as part of the cost of the membership. this year, they saved it all towards the end (along with the glass). however, the bottle list is strong AF this year and includes SF Motueka, DH Marietta, DH LS & reg LS, Grisette b9, and the new La Belle Fleur.

TL; DR - we got 6 sours that most people don’t give a fuck about.

my pleasure. that La Belle Fleur sounds interesting. it’s the same base as the Single Farm series with 2 different Brett strains… didn’t mention anything specific about hops but if it’s in line with the SF series, then i’m all about it!

also, very happy to have another DH Marietta Ave, as i couldn’t bring myself to cellar my 2nd and last bottle as it was so good.

Single Farm has been a revelation for SP imo (have not had Cascade).

Single Farm beers are undefeated and the new base beer sounds amazing. The dry hopped white label beers have all been very good as well.

I didn't love Motueka (it was solid, just unspectacular), but felt Cascade is every bit as good as Nelson.
