    Glad you enjoyed that one as well. We didn't see many wet/fresh hop IPAs this year, but this was one of them. Also, box #2 will hopefully go out tomorrow. Just putting the finishing touches on it.

    Thank you to @kemoarps for sending this one! Fest Bier from Chuckanut. I have had beers from Chuckanut before (through BIFs) and I have always loved them. This sticks to that trend!

    Poured at fridge temp. Pours a gorgeous transparent yellow with a few inches of fluffy white head. Bubbles rising throughout.

    The nose is grainy, honey, bread, biscuits, orange, slight hoppy note, and a grassy kiss. Really nice and crisp on the nose.

    The taste is wonderful. Sweet honey notes hit first. Very malty, with fresh bread, lemon pudding, apples, slight apricot, and that earthy/grassy taste that was on the nose. Crisp and smooth. Dry. Wonderful beer overall. Thank you, Kestrel!

    I'm saving the one from Fremont for Saturday to share with my friend, who had it a long time ago when he lived in Washington. I'm also going to share the Cantillon as well with him.
    Sharing beers is the best.

    Nice! I completely agree with you! I love that Fremont beer, and the Cantillon is one of my favorites from them. I was happy that they had it at the brewery when I was there a couple of weeks ago!

    Side note...love this part of the BIF where every time I check BA one or two people have posted pics of amazing boxes they've received. This group never disappoints!

    That BDS comes pre-aged. It's from about a year ago. Label changed this year.

    The mystery beer is one that can wait til the reveal on NBW, or a little later if you wish (i.e., it's not a FH beer. That's the only hint you're getting re: it).

    Couldn't get my shit together on a swag item, so I kicked that can a little down the road and squeezed in a little more beer in it's place.

    Lately, I've come to the conclusion that a pils works pretty well as a FH showcase. The one I sent is definitely not a traditional approach, as it's been FH'd with Centennial and Chinook. I love my traditional pilsners, mind you, but they're being upfront about it not being one, so it's okay for my world view
