OK, I've finally got a couple of minutes without babe in arms where I can shirk doing the dishes and pretend to be eating breakfast while the baby gets some fresh from the source.

I love my mother. I'm a grown-ass man, and I'm comfortable saying that. She's a wonderful woman. The reason I bring this up is that she has been very helpful with both of our recent concerns. She loves her first grandchild, and as such has been enthusiastically helpful about coming down to watch the baby while Mrs. Kemo and I are trying to resolve this car issue. The other reason she's come down has been to let us use her car to run errands, such as yesterday when we had to drive an hour away to clear out the last remnants of stuff from the husk that once was my old car. Anyway, en route to the salvage lot where my dear old Sub has been sitting, we were able to swing by our old apartment building. (As my wife reminds me) I'm getting long winded. The point being, I received a notification from our old apartment building that I had a package. Huh. Well, with the benefit of transportation, we were able to swing by and pick it up. The package was a massive cube of cardboard (see banana for scale, especially you @woemad  ) with llama-tape holding the seams together, so I had a pretty good idea of what awaited me when we finally got home.
    And soon, so will you!

(not pictures because I couldn't fit everything from this massive haul into frame, but a rad Moxie tshirt. I was going to make a spunk joke here, as that was apparently part of their salespitch, but, uh, I figured one banana innuendo was kind of my quota for the day)

This absolute mountain of aluminum and liquid will introduce me to my first ever Treehouse beers (and boy howdy there's a bunch of them!), I think my first ever Lawson's, my first ever Sound of Music beer, and so much more. There's even some goodies in here for the baby! Everyone gets some excitement.

    First, the food:
    Lots of New England waterfood:
Clam Chowder (is this the red kind, Maynard?) (my wife is staring daggers at me and threatening horrible things over that poor excuse for a joke)
    Lobster Corn Chowder
    Smoked Oysters
probiotic cranberries (have y'all ever read the post about the cranberry farmer and the wolf spiders? Claasic).

There's also some things to keep us warm as the weather slams full scale into late fall/early winter (when it was literally in the 70s two weeks ago! This year is so weird. So weird):
Heady Topper based hot sauce (perfect! I just used the last of my other hot sauce this morning!)
Chili infused maple syrup (I have to admit... I opened it and took a swig straight from the can/teen upon finding that one. Yup, it's tasty!)

    Next, the swag:
The aforementioned tshirt. You can see the tail of it sticking down into the corner of the pic.
A dope little sea bean onesie (it's perfect, she is a little sea bean)
A gaggle of stickers, mostly affiliated with the aforementioned breweries (out of curiosity... what's the DB to which The Alchemist is so opposed?)
Some temporary tattoos of the same
    A handful of coasters
An incredible/special Treehouse tulip (that also happens to be gigantic!), accompanied by an explanatory note telling of how they are not actually sold to the public, but were a special customer appreciation gift!
And finally, a truly Wunderful little llama that will be going in Juni's room!

This post is getting a bit long, so I'll be back with the beer content in a mo

OK, anyway, this is a site about beer, so I should probably tell you about the bounty of beer of which I am now in possession, thanks to the wunderful generosity of @WunderLlama

As I stated, I've never had anything from Treehouse before. I don't believe I've ever had anything from Lawson's either. And I've had Heady Topper once (thanks to @Roguer way back in the very very first iteration of this here BIF!), but that's the extent of my Alchemist experience.
Well, all of those things are about to change, in addition to some, uh, additions from other breweries with which I was completely unfamiliar!

(I figured since I was splitting the listing into two posts, I may as well include the one where you can actually see the tshirt, even though it's not as good of a picture for the rest of it!)

    Hokay. Beer.

    -Treehouse:
Wycinanki (a grodziskie! You don't see them often!)
    Single Shot
    Double Shot (Barrel Blend)
    Quadruple Shot (Monochrome)
    Quadruple Shot (Walden Autumn Blend)
    Double Rainbow
    Cobbler
    King Cobbler
    King Canpoy
    Big Pineapple
    Bigger Guava
    Bigger Tangerine
    Tangerine Scream

    -Lawson's:
    Double Sunshine
    Hopcelot
    Mad River Maple

    -The Alchemist:
    Luscious
    Heady Topper
    Focal Banger

Von Trapp - Oktoberfest (I'm saving this one for a week from now while the Seahawks are playing in Munich!)
Brick and Feather - Throw Me the Idol
Equilibrium with Other Half - HDHC Dream Wave Fluctuation
Living Life - Marshmallow Small Joys

Hot diggity daffodil! I've got some drinking and learning ahead of me!
    Thanks Maynard!!!

EDIT: And I forgot to list the silver can 'o' mystery! That's what I"ll be hopping into tomorrow, inch'allah

The trashcans (which, honestly, didn't bother me a bit. Sign stealing is a time honored tradition in baseball. And folks are suspiciously quiet about the Phillies sign stealing...) we're 5 years ago, and they've only got about 4 players left from that team. It's history, get over it.

[IMG] First up; Bounday Bay Cedar Dust

Pours a golden/copper; fully translucent. A dense white foam coats the top, providing decent lacing and good retention.

Nose is some citrus, pine, and bit of bready malt.

Taste follows suit with some syrupy sweet nearly tropical fruit like notes. Feel is crisp but the sweetness adds some texture. Overall, I think this held up fairly well. I think I’m going average across the board 3/5. Cheers all and big thanks @BBThunderbolt

My dislike of the Astros mostly is based on the fact that they really didn't get punished all that much for cheating in a World series. Also, the fans that act like it's no big deal and have the audacity to get angry about being the team being called cheaters annoys the crap out of me. I mean, sure they've got a great team, but I think the Astros should get at least as much crap as the Patriots get for their alleged transgressions in the nfl. That's been going on for what, 20 years? Astro fans need to man up and take the criticism on the chin.
