Barreled Souls (2022)

Gotta say that the new member-only tap has been a goldmine already, and I can’t wait to see what they do with the private bar at Mill Brook. As someone who gets over there at least a couple times a month, I’m loving these new perks.

 

My favorite member perk is the private barrels they make available.
My group of beer friends is on number 3.

First was a Bourbon Double Vanilla Pecan stout we named Savage Souls.

We have a bourbon and apple brandy double barrel Barleywine in the works and a second stout that just started recently.

First one came out to around $15 per bottle with the expensive additions we chose. Pretty good deal, just need a decent size group to share.

They held a party for the first round of private barrels with all the groups. Got to try, share, trade etc.

 

That Munichwine was within the top 3 beers I had from them this year. So much complexity. I’m super excited for the BA variants.

 

There’s a members only tap? Do I just ask when I’m there?

 

Yes, exactly, it’s not on the board. Last two times I got Barton Deep Space and DB Big Bang. Pretty great.

 

Viewed from afar this seems like a kick-ass society. Good perks, fun beers, good prices, zero pretentiousness. Enjoy!

 

If you ever happen to have extra I’d be interested. The barrel thing sounds really cool but I don’t have enough friends lol.

 

My share was 11 bottles last time, so I should have plenty

 

It’s also the only membership in New England doing stouts/barleywine that I’m aware of. Being able to drive there and back in a day versus the shipping and proxy costs of having to transport across the country is a huge bonus for me.

Having said that the two other people I know personally that are members live in California. LOL

 

I just flash the platinum society card they gave me as a membership gift.
