I'm at Buck Bald Brewing Company in beautiful downtown Murphy NC after a warm sunny day of hiking in The Smokie Mountains.
I'm drinking a Big Bitch India Pale Lager.
Just like what it sounds like a over hopped Lager that's pretty damn good.

Another Triple Crossing beer. Nectar & Knife. A DIPA. Enjoyed all three Triple Crossing beers I had tonight although I knew I would when I bought them today. Had them all before.

I was gonna post a grandpa thing about how wife and yours truly spent three days and two nights helping daughter with newborn but it would be boring to most.

Espresso Yeti. Unfortunately seems to only be available in a Yeti variety 12 pack, but luckily the store also had some singles in the mix 6 area. Now they just need to resurrect the Chocolate Yeti. Cheers!

 

Been searching for this all month, finally copped today. As with a lot of things lately, this one did not quite live up to expectations. Don't get me wrong, not bad, just not what I was looking for but was what I expected.
First off, too cold to start but bettered up as it warmed. At first the maple kicked in too strong at the finish but that subsidied as it warmed or I went on.
Reminded me of Southern Tier Creme Brulee, one of my faves. That's a milk stout base, and this is a Scoth Ale, but the similarities are there. I lean towards the milk stouts, but do enjoy Scotch Ales in their basic states.
I think this one will turn out to be quite pleasant once I get some age on it.

This delicious beer from Illinois is courtesy of @Danmullens1! Thank you, sir! Speaking of which, after I drank beer and barrel-strength bourbon with @beergoot and @Danmullens1 at 3 Sheeps Brewing last Saturday, I got a ride to my hotel room from random people from Illinois. I awoke to not having my phone. @beergoot stopped by my room before heading out and called my phone, and it was not in the room. I went to 3 Sheeps Brewing, and it was not there. I geotracked my phone, and it was heading to Illinois. Using details of the conversation I had with the people from Illinois, I eventually tracked them down on Facebook. They checked the backseat of their car, found my phone, and immediately shipped it to me. After that experience, I promise to not call anyone from Illinois a FIB for at least a year. Or until the Chicago Bears beat the Green Bay Packers, one month from today. The day before I see this concert.

Drekker Make It Spooky DNEIPA, 8% ABV. Pours hazy light yellow with a two-finger off-white head that left nice lacing. Nose is light citrus. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, faintly sweet, moderately bitter. Decent mouthfeel, juicy. Overall excellent.
