Glad you liked it. When people ask me what is the #1 brewery here in Spokane, Whistle Punk is what I tell them. Their preference is European Lager styles but they nail everything they set out to do IMHO.

 

Curious if my target can get Almond Rocha or Applets & Cotlets in their state.

 

Mmm! Almond Roca. I had never heard of it before meeting my wife many years ago. It was a Christmas time staple in her home. If left to my own devices, I could eat an entire box in one sitting. A couple years ago they had Cashew Roca available as well here. I’m not allowed buying that one again. I don’t believe anyone else managed to try a piece before I polished it off.

I just spent the last 10-15 minutes reading about the fight over for Washington State’s official candy. Perhaps the most interesting issue in American politics I’ve read about in several years. Despite having never had the other hopeful, I’m squarely in the Almond Roca camp. In fact, if needed, I will mobilize for this cause!

 

So, after a couple weeks sans beer as I recover from the COVID, I’m ready to start enjoying life again. I have assembled a variety of beers sent to me by several of you over the BIFs and LIFs of the past few years and will review them in NBW over the course of the weekend. I’m embarrassed by how many beers I still have from so many of you and apologize for my slow drinking schedule. I’m glad I’m sitting out this round on the sidelines. My cellar is packed to bursting.

 

Applets and couplets are fine, but, they do not hold a candle to Almond Roca…one of my Moms favorites. See tried to keep it ….but it seemed to disappear whenever I was around…not sure what happened….those and Frango mints were very popular at Christmas time

Iron Goat is still my favorite place to grab a beer and a meal, but WP wins on the beer quality front. Also, IG is all over the place on packaged beer in terms of quality, so I get nervous when shipping cans from them in BIFs as I don't know if I'm sending a winner or a dog.

 

Do we have anybody from New Realm Brewing's distro area in this round? Or does somebody know somebody? I really want some of the new Realm/Blackberry Smoke collab brew, and willing to trade/pay for a couple sixers. Somebody got a guy for that?

Figured I'd ask here before diving into the waters on the trade board.

 

We see some IG stuff over here, but I usually have to go to the store I prefer not to go to to see it, but I've still not had a clunker.

 

This is probably Fremont/Holy Mountain for me. I think HM is probably the best brewer top to bottom in the city, but Fremont is still my go-to to actually visit/nostalgic favourite.
