Any brewery that doesn't host weekly goat yoga as well as a chest feeder group is nothing but a bunch of bigots

Amazing. Prices in PA cheaper than in another state!! It's true--very nice stovepipes here for $2.99 (SE PA, Wegmans: Broken Heels, 90m Minute, etc.) Hard to understand, because otherwise beer is absurdly overpriced here.

This might shock some people but …

There are shitty parents who don’t watch their kids literally everywhere: Playgrounds, parks, restaurants, birthday parties, markets, malls, sporting events, Target, and, yes, breweries.

Basically what we are saying is shitty parents shouldn’t be allowed places. I agree with that.

    Signed,
A parent who watched a kid kick over all the other kids paintings at a paint-themed birthday party yesterday

    1) The new trends of beer shouldn’t be frowned upon just because you don’t personally identify with them or like them.

    2) Taprooms “modernizing” their rules (allowing dogs/kids, providing an area for breast feeding, etc.) is ultimately a design to increase customers. This has to be understood and appreciated. I generally don’t see a downturn in business at breweries when they implement these things, and they obviously don’t either or else they’d quit doing it.

    3) If your favorite beer in the world has production ceased by the brewery due to financial reasons, it’s not cause for uproar. These things are facts of life and let’s not forget, although these breweries hold massive personal meaning to a lot of us, they are still businesses and must function as such.

    4) If your favorite brewery sells to “big” beer, your support and congratulations should be due to those who sold. It’s not easy selling your life’s work and brain child but ultimately, the meaning of all businesses is financial gain. Therefore, if a significant gain is made through liquidation, we owe these individuals our blessing.

But feelings like those above are why there is "craft beer" in the US. Lots of people in the 1970s-1990s "frowned" on the trend of the ever-lighter and blanded beer, the disappearance of ales, dark beers and other styles in the US and set out to brew beers they liked.

Well, in many cases the people (customers) who made the brewery successful believed in the owners' PR about buying local/supporting small business, creating jobs, explanations of high prices based on better ingredients/"handmade" beer, etc., and the breweries' often decade long tirades against "Big Beer" and their dominance of the industry. Kinda understandable that people might feel betrayed after a sellout.

"What? You bought all our BS? You poor naive bastards. We're just another business, out to make as much money as we can, so when that macro came along waving the big bucks, it was --- 'Uh, where do we sign?' "

My response to those points would be to reiterate my prior points. These breweries are businesses and they do and say what they have to year over year to make money. This year it might be macro hate, next year when CANarchy makes their offer, they’ll change their tune. I do not believe for a second that any brewery is immune from what some might call “poor” business practices in the name of profit.

To be fair, if one likes this type of thing, this is probably very good. The brewer makes more traditional styles very well too. Their Maibock earlier this year was really good.
