You are spot on my man. Got into beer excited to buy hyped up WC IPAs (back in the day lol) and being like WTF. But yeah Julius, I have not found a better beer in all my years. I envy you all! Jk. Cheers

Had one last night based on the fact that I love their Bokeh cold brew and typically enjoy TH stouts as long as they are not cloyingly sweet. I was disappointed in it. Very little carbonation, poured like oil (neither is odd for TH stouts), so I had to give it a good shake to develop a head. The flavor was extremely medicinal and aftertaste was bitter. Lost of green NyQuil “licorice” going on. I let it warm some more with a slight improvement. It’s boozy for sure and with no abv listed, who knows what you’re in for.

Has anyone had, Crew Beer? It’s right in my ABV wheelhouse, and I loved similar beers from them like, Lights Out. But the website doesn’t say anything about malts, hops, etc. Any info would be great. Thanks.

That's disappointing. I was excited for a coffee stout without caffeine!

Debating getting tree of bliss or tranquility, but not really sure if the adjuncts are for me. Might just get Juice Project and Julius… maybe extra spooky but the new releases have been underwhelming

Found these today. We can reminisce a bit and forget the hazy talk for a moment.

I really enjoyed the Nightcap can I had this past weekend. Low carbonation and thick is how I like my big stouts, and this was right on target there; don't usually look for significant head, mild lacing is enough for me. Thought the stout base, the barrel, and the coffee all shined. However, it was the last beer of the night after a few assertively flavored beers (a true nightcap!) so it sounds like I'll need try my second can on a fresher palate.

I generally always let big beers warm to just below room temp before drinking (I find it improves flavor and mouthfeel). Definitely a big beer, for sure. If a barrel-aged imperial stout doesn't list an ABV, my assumption is that it's probably around 12%, give or take a percent.

Wow 6 cans of Green and Julius on the same day. The hype must have been crazy. It’s hard to imagine just how hard it was to get their beer back then

Haven't opened tranquility yet, but Bliss batch 1 was incredible, the adjuncts were very subtle. Really caught me by surprise.

As a well-recognized (in my house) failure to document anything I do, with family or friends or alone, these speak to me. I’m sure there are pictures in this digital world that I’ve taken of the place pre-[looks around] all this

I don’t even know if I had an iPhone when I first went to Brimfield and I know I don’t have any pictures. Wish I snapped a few while I waited 2+ hours on the couch for my 3 growlers(c5 I think)

That’s awesome, my first haul from Monson was 8 cans, but I only had to wait about 30 mins so I was thrilled. Never made it to Brimfield so I guess I can’t make it into the really cool guy club.

Someone said it, perhaps in this thread, but 2016 and around then was amazing for beer. Now it is what it is, but yeah…. Love the pics guys!!!

It's a shame, you missed their best beer. All downhill after there

Cleaning out a cabinet the other day and found Growler tags from my first visit. October 2014. Got Julius and Haze. Had never heard of Tree House before that day, was traveling, saw it on the map and decided to stop. The Old Red Barn in Monson, before they moved it across the street.. Things have never been the same haha, Ahhh memories.......

It’s amazing that it impossible for something to ever get better. Past is always best and remember its always better on tap!
