Maui/Dogfish Head Liquid Breadfruit (Collaboration)

    Just an FYI... I've been waiting to see this for a while (and have had it previously on draught). Spec's Brodie got some Maui/DFH Liquid Breadfruit in... $13.59 cash for a 6-pack.

    Should be hitting other places soon/already as well.

    Specs Round Rock got I too. I had it at a beer fest and thought it was ok, but that price point might keep me away from this one

    Sort of like what mushy passion fruit or melon might taste like. A "maybe this is TOO ripe" sort of taste, if you think about the fruit. Didn't love it

    I thought the ripe taste of the fruit gave it some tart notes... and it's rather sweet from its' inclusion, which my girlfriend likes. Not gonna tell her it's 8% ABV. :slight_smile:

    Gabriel's has a couple cases, but it's not in our system yet. Hopefully it'll be ready tomorrow.

    BEK seems to be allocating one or two cases per delivery so it might be a little tricky to snag in Austin.

    I had one last night and it didn't do much for me but different strokes, etc.

    Its like a thick wheaty saison slightly sour slight sweet and like and unripe melon..it tastes kinda like a sweetened breadfruit actually...if you maybe poured some papya juice on it and dash of lemon but the mouth eel is weird as it is pretty thick

    quite unusual especially for the abv

    Pretty great description for a hard to describe beer. Was very pleasantly surprised it was so tart. I'm on my second six pack and I rarely do that for beers that aren't named Bigfoot or Brown Shugga.

    Was also cool to see jolly pumpkin in a can, though I was less of a fan of that beer than this.
    I dident hate this beer, but did not care for it enough to buy a six pack of it

    I feel Maui did that beer a disservice. JP would get a bad rap here if we based opinions on that.

    I didn't get to grab any of this at the Petrol Christmas share. I probably should have because I doubt I'd buy a six pack of it.

    Is the Jp (maui version) still avail?
    I'm a huge fan of Passionfruit.
    We didn't even get the Jp version in OKC...

    Stoked for Liquid Breadfruit, fond memories of eating it in hawaii.
