Yes on both counts, but generally it starts getting really crazy on Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. Wednesday is a complete shit show. I remember the line on the Wednesday before in 2018 when they released unlabeled bottles of Hedonic Adaptation. This was before the new upper parking lot, and it was wrapped all the way around and going down the hill to the lower lot.

Ahhh the good old days in Charlton of 3 hour lines, 1 stout per person, and NO pours unless it was dead

Any idea about black Friday at Charlton? I'll be in the area for Thanksgiving. While I don't mind waiting for cans, I would love to take my dad there for a beer but know he isn't going to wait in line for an hour haha. Thanks!

Anyone know if Deerfield received today’s drop of cans? Looking for Sap, Cranberry Tart and Haze. Thanks

    Doesn’t appear so. Tomorrow.

Can anyone comment on Raven, the black IPA or Little Fire, the smoked helles? Each beer sounds good to me, but I’m wondering what others have to say before I try them.

My input is probably invalid, but I hated Raven. It was like a brown ale/west coast IPA cuvee

Little Fire is awesome, but it's not as smoky as I'd hope.

Ok, ok. So subtle smoke. Sounds good.

Interesting. And not at all invalid.

I miss black IPAs from years ago when they had their moment. I particularly miss Jack’s Abby Cascadian Schwarzbier, their black IPL.

Like Little Fire, but like Little Fire Oak more. Never had Raven.

I’ve had my eye on Tree House’s schwarzbier, Bergsteiger, but haven’t picked it up.

I didn't hate Raven as much as him, but Lawson's Big Hoppy was a significantly better beer this year.

It hoestly just wouldn't be a style I would like no matter what. There's only a few out there, as I drink pretty much everything. I wish we could go back to custom orders. You could get one or two cans to try it out

Drinking my last Bergsteiger at this moment. Not particularly hoppy so I wouldn't compare to a black IPL, but very tasty. Rich, stout-y roastiness while maintaining the body of a lager.

FWIW, I like Raven, but I'm not sure I can say why. I guess I like the way the hoppy bitterness and the roasty bitterness complement each other?

Little Fire is fine but I wouldn't say it was at the top of either the smoked category or the Helles category.

Thanks to those who gave an opinion on both Little Fire and Raven. Going to skip both. Gonna stick with what Treehouse does best, hazy IPAs.

Was thinking of throwing in a bottle of Tree of Bliss or Tree of Tranquility to have for Thanksgiving, but Tree of Life Vanilla Bean, to me, sounds simpler and better that both ToB and ToT.

Anyway, this may be a minority opinion, but I haven't had a Treehouse pale lager that I thought worthy of a repeat buy. Just too many better pale lagers available elsewhere.

Tried one on-site. Glad I didn’t buy a four pack. Your description is spot on. It does indeed taste exactly how you describe, to the detriment of the beer’s flavor. Not very good. But I had the cream ale which I enjoyed a great deal. A nice beer.

I don't know if it's a minority opinion, but I feel the opposite with too many hazy IPAs around, so I will stick to non-IPAs when I'm at TH next time. Drinking four months old Quaint Kellebier from the last visit and it is fantastic.
