People talking about "threadshitting". It's annoying. And to be honest, its an oxymoron. They run convos on other peoples ISO:FT posts talking about threadshitting while they are actually the source. It's quite aggravating. Not saying it just happened to me in the last couple of days but I was just skimming the forum and saw it and it really "grinded my gear" in word of Peter Griffin. Well anyways, hope everyone is enjoyin the warm weather with a delicious pint. My uncle passed away while joggin in the metropark yesterday so I'm drinking his favorite pint, CBH, in his honor.
    Cheers, Tom

Lazy people who post offers in peoples ISO posts, hence needlessly topping the post for them. It literally takes 2 clicks to start a private conversation, and it is very easy to figure out the feature is there if you actually make an effort to look for it.

I agree. I learned this the hard way. Someone threadshitted and I responded, then that person just yells louder until the thread got nuked. The guy might have been right that the other offer was a little low, but leave opinions in the other threads, give info if needed and input if asked. A good amount of the time there are still many details to work out behind the scene.

as for what "grinds my gears":
what BigTomZ said, people who post offers in threads, this isn't an auction. Once one person does it someone else says the same trade plus a little more.

Also, I hate "BM sent". You know how the OP will know you sent a BM? With his mail box being red and saying he has a new message not by having to go to his thread to see you posted. Do not think posting "BM sent" is like a dog marking his territory, if you want the beer, make a good offer.

I disagree a bit, if I look at an ISO/FT and one of my regular trading partners replies with a BM sent, it allows me to back off and let him take a shot, and after a couple of days, I message to see what ended up. If it didnt get done, its possible he says "yeah, he wanted 20 KH's for his Kate" and then I know to not reply. Or he could say "he was looking for beer that is not in these parts". Some of the FT/ISO threads titles are so vague (by intent or not) that its nice if you have someone you trust that has put in the effort and has info to share, shares that with you.

That's actually a fair point. I generally agree that BM sent posts are annoying. Unfortunately, it's literally never happened for me the way you lay it out. Guess I need more trading partners!
