I'm grilling 1 burger and a Jai Alai, she's having turkey w/cheese and cranberry sauce. Canned on date of 11/04/2022 so I'm happy....

 

Happy Walker Day! After 12 years, tonight is the series finale of The Walking Dead. I've been a zombie movie fan since I was a little kid, and used to watch Chiller Theater every Saturday night with Bill "Chilly Billy" Cardille out of Pittsburgh, PA. Bill Cardille was also a Channel 11 reporter, and played himself in the iconic movie The Night of the Living Dead.

Once when we were kids, our family had dinner at a work friend's house, and he asked if we'd like to meet Chilly Billy, who was his next-door neighbor. Of course! After meeting him, my sister and I played on the swings out back with his daughter, Lori Cardille, who was a sweetheart.

Fast forward many years when I was in graduate school, I was driving on my way to classes and passed a sign saying "volunteers wanted to be made-up as zombies in the film Day of the Dead." I stopped the car and really wanted to be a zombie in a George Romero film, but skipping classes was out of the question.

The next year the Day of the Dead movie came out, and who was the star of the movie, but none other than Chilly Billy's daughter, Lori Cardille. Shit, I should have been a zombie, I knew the star!

So here's to 12 years of the best show on television!

Have a turkey breast in the oven because I like turkey, even though I never think to buy it. For some reason, they had a ton of turkeys at the store the other day, so I got some - on sale, too.

 

Oh man this bacon/cheddar stuffed burger was amazing and the Heady held it's own too!!! Going to try to keep an eye open for some NFL, but 0345 came early today after drinking downtown last night.

 

Heya, BA! Celebration from the keg. making some tater skins getting ready watch the jets v pats game. as a jets fan, hope is foresaken.
