Thoughts on Goose Island's 2022 Bourbon County (BCBS) Lineup?

Half Time has a 12 bottle, $300 bundle which includes 5 variants. One stop shopping. Shipping on or about 11/29. And, all you do is wait for the truck to show up. It sure is tempting, but for me, it would produce a divorce or many nights on the couch.

 

I think they charge about $27 to ship, normally. Might be more with something that heavy.

 

I did a trial checkout, and shipping was $19.99 to FL. I then emptied the cart before temptation took over.

When I divide $500 by 12 bottles (BCBS case size) I'm getting $41.66 per bottle before adding it to my cart and calculating shipping. That famous craft beer hobby budgeting strikes again!

 

I am so excited the Omaha area is getting every variant this year with the exception of the Chicago only Prop. The wallet will take a hit, but it’s only one time a year.

With the continued price increases and back to 12 oz bottles I wonder if the thickness and flavor will resemble the GOAT of old, pre AB InBev.

Still to this day when I crack a 12oz bottle from years ago the flavor is that much better than anything they've made since. The sour/infected year really screwed things up.

 

Probably too late for you, but the best setup is one joint account, along with separate checking accounts for each of you. Split up the direct deposit from your job to go to each. That way you have your spending independence/privacy.
