The "retro" labeling on the 12oz bottles is pre-2009, but I'd like to have seen them use the 2009-2014 design. I doubt flavor will be retro.

My wife and I have everything jointly, except retirement accounts. Total transparency works well for us. My only frivolous, selfish spending is on beer so she doesn't get worked up.

My beer all goes against my account, though she's been along on my out-of-town beer runs so has a good idea what it costs, and has never said a word about it.

The info I got was bad, not getting Biscotti, but reportedly no loss there because of the an...

I'll load up on Coffee, Sir Isaac's, and 30th.

Well I found only one place in SF Bay area that is getting the 30 Anniv - and they are selling as a set with BCBS, coffee, Isaacs, & 30th. They are an hour away, not worth the drive IMHO. Hopefully my order of the 30 from Half Time comes through.

Some Total wine around the Bay that I called is getting BCBS, Biscotti, coffee, isaacs. A couple of total wines that I called are only getting BCBS & Coffee.

Per usual I remain mystified by BCBS distribution. Living in southwest Missouri it wasn’t until a few years ago we saw any variants and at most 1 or 2. Had heard KC and St. Louis got more variants, but even there not all. In KC for the holiday and walk in first thing and they have everything but Prop. Considering reading much larger cities aren’t getting them, I just scratched my head. Yeah I know overpriced blah, blah blah but for the first time we get nearly all. Wild!

Oh our 4-pack is 14.3% and it was my wife who told them to give us one of everything.

4 packs of Original made it to CA this year, and are available to reserve online at Total Wine.

Went to my local bottle shop to buy Jackie O’s and to my surprise they had ten or twelve cases of Bourbon County: Three each of biscotti and coffee, and the rest were the base stout.

I had never even seen the coffee before, so I choked down the $25 price and bought one. The base was $14 but I passed as I know they will be available for quite a while.

Grabbed two 4 packs of the 12oz Original at Total Wine and resisted purchasing the variants (Coffee, Biscotti and Sr. Issacs) this year. They're just getting too expensive. Instead, I used my variant $$$ for more barleywines (Firestone Walker Sucaba and the FW/Bruery collab - Heavy Things).

Snagged a second coffee at another store. They had 30th and Barleywine for $50 which is way more than I paid this morning on my initial outing. Not sure how many places have those, though.

Was the first (and only) person in line at my distributor's when they opened today. They got 4 cases of the base beer ($13.50/bottle), 2 cases of the coffee ($24.00/bottle), one case of Biscotti ($24.00/bottle), and one case of Sir Issac ($24.00/bottle). All prices include 6% PA sales tax. Considering that two years ago my local got 0 cases of any BCBS, I consider this a marked improvement. I only grabbed two bottles of each.

    So, eight bottles total?

I visited my local Retail Beer Distributor last Wednesday and the dude working the register told me they also received some four-packs/12 ounce bottles of the 'regular'.

It will be interesting to read how many people will discuss purchasing in the 12 ounce format. I wonder how many of these were produced?

    Cheers!

Forgot to mention that in addition to the barleywine and 30th being $50, the store required you to purchase an OG with them. OG was $14.99 That place is insane!! No wonder they had so much left. Screw them

My BCBS hunting was cut short by having to replace a dead car battery, but I did land two Isaac's, three 30th Anniversary Reserve, and five Coffee first. Once I try those, I'll get more. Like others, I passed on the OG since it'll be around for a while.

I'm so glad pricing isn't as bad as first estimates or from what other regions are paying. We had all but the prop which was expected. Base $11.99, Coffee/Biscotti/Sir Isaac's were all $19.99 and then the barleywine and 30th were $30.99. Also had '20 and '21 base, plus still have some of the last year's Cherrywood and Coke. Another location still has the Kentucky Fog ('20?).

Went in the morning and they only had 1 bottle limits on the BW and 30th with no limits on anything else; went back at noon no one was enforcing the BW/ann limit. In comparison to last year, the pricing was much better across the board (looking you $54.99 toasted).
