    Agreed. After reading more into the post is appears the Sunday early open and Monday opening is just NFK. It's been awhile since I visit the SA location and I don't even recall them having TVs and I still have not visited Forest Hill.

Dark Daze is our annual Black Friday beer release event that celebrates our love of dark beers. This year we bring you over 18x different brands!

    ***At 3pm at all locations we will have our Magnum Pour Tent from vintage favorites to try like Apple Brandy Distant, Vanilla Bourbon Circle of Wolves, Double Vanilla Toast E Coilz, Double Vanilla Sleeping Forever Grand Cru, Eternal Slumber 2019 and plenty more. Offerings are different at every location. More details to come!***

    We will be having a Cellar Bottle Sale (Very limited quantities at all locations). 1pp of each brand limit. We will have these bottles at all locations.

    Went into this year's Dark Daze with lowered expectations after being completely disappointed the last two years and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with just about everything being offered this year. I feel like there weren't any over the top super sweet pastry beers even though some of the descriptions would have you believe differently. Biggest miss for me of the bunch was the Coffee Coconut Whang. French Toast was probably the sweetest of them all but still had a small amount of barrel that helped it somewhat. Very impressed with the Vanilla Pallbearer, Scowl and especially the Single Barrel Cognac Whang. The two Grand Crus were very similar in taste to me and I had difficulty telling them apart. Biggest surprise of the event for me was Henok. I fully expected to hate everything about that beer but they pulled it off very well considering the amount of crap tossed in that thing. Boozy blueberries in all the best ways. Utopian and Port Whang were both nice as well.

    Agree totally with your post....
    Our group was also pleasantly surprised that a few of these stouts this year had dialed back the sweetness and upped some of the barrel presence.
    To be fair, I didn't try a couple of the overt sugar bombs like French toast and Lord cookie whatever, but most of the others (Henok, WR horns) actually worked.
    Single barrel cognac might have been my favorite of the event, we missed the bottles, due to the small quantity, but plenty of draft was/is available. Pallbearer was very good as usual, grand cru, even the date one was solid.

    Glad to hear the Date Whang was solid, didn't get around to trying that one. Skipped the Cookie Whang also. White Russian Horns I thought was just as good as years prior and one that they consistently nail each and every time.

    Looks like SA still has bottles of the SiB Cognac if you have any contacts up there :wink:

    Not very excited to see the lack of barrel aging here. Should be interesting to see how this one turns out

    They haven't announced the release date yet but teased a new CoW in a post on Instagram. I found the label on Untappd
