I'm at Buck Bald Brewing in beautiful downtown Murphy NC drinking a Party On The Patio Porter, it's described as Dark and toasty with a touch of Molasses.
I'd say that is a little understated, roasty, spicy, sweet, hints of vanilla and chocolate, soft mouth feel and little bite on the back of my palate.
A very nice example of a Porter and I can't wait to have another one.

Taste of bourbon , vanilla, toffee, sherry

Velvety smooth, slight sudsing

Great beer

 

Second Costco advent beer which is very good

 

Honing this Stone Tangerine Express Hazy IPA from the 12 Days variety pk. Not reeeealy fresh but enjoy by dated 1/12/23 and in this case (12pk), free beer is my favorite kind. Tastes better than it looks. I dislike the way it looks. Cheers!

I have since learned they are also found in Georgia, New Mexico, Brazil and Switzerland. But SW Virginia is the best place to find them. I have found many through the years.

What's going on, BAs?

Drinking a very unusual beer from Burial (collaboration with Fair State). It's not a hazy IPA, it's not a 15% ABV Pastry Stout. It's a 4.2% ABV Czech Dark Lager.



This is outstanding!

I've been saying and I'll keep saying: "We need more of well-made Czech Dark Lagers, Schwarzbiers and English Dark Milds!"
