Gotta love Anchorage. Double barrel aged stout? $50 Triple barrel aged barleywine? $100 Barrel aged saison? $9.99
So my account randomly logged out of itself on the app. Naturally like a good user, I don't remember my password. In attempting to reset it, it tells me unable to, and to try again later. Emailed support... wtf!
This happens to me about every 2-3 weeks. It's annoying, but I did the unthinkable & recorded my password for posterity.
Recently returned to Tavour. I'm trying to figure out how their feed works. Some beers that I think I'll come back to while I think about it simply disappear. But others are marked as sold out. I haven't figured out if they disappear after a certain number of days or just on a wim. Why not mark them all as sold out for consistency? Some beers stick around for a week while others disappear after a couple of days. Are they sold out or just trying to keep the feed going? Lastly, the filters on top don't make sense. They lump all dark beers, including lagers/dunkels with stouts/porters. They should really have an "Other" or a catch call category. Sometimes I find stuff using the filters that didn't show up in my main feed. If anybody can shed any light on the above, much appreciated. End rant.
Lol I see the same and I just figured they were a very limited amount or something. Maybe they haven't got a good system for over-ordering so they remove them if demand is too high? Idk could be their way of creating fomo as well. See it, buy it instead of thinking about it.
Box has been delayed in transit since the 8th… of course it’s the one with the $50 Anchorage stout int it please make it here!
Wow Double Barrel VSOJ just dropped, can't see it lasting long, but heads up! I definitely got my 2. Edit: Annnd it's sold out. Sorry, I posted as fast as I could!
I was checking the feed every few minutes and then just stopped for about half an hour and missed it. Figures.
Ah damn, sorry to hear. I just happened to be near my phone when it dropped -- I wasn't even expecting it, so I got extremely lucky. Wish I could've snagged more than 2 cans so I could share.
They posted on their instagram story that it was dropping "very soon". I got the fomo and was expecting it to happen at the top of the hour. Turns out it was about two hours after they announced
I will say that's another 'strike' against Tavour. Take a limited release and allow 2 per person instead of 1, knowing it's going to sell out immediately anyways. At least it was $17/can instead of $30 they probably could've charged.
Rhetorical question - Why should you sell your best beer (or any product really) for less money than what demand would pay for it? If everyone followed this same logic there really wouldn't be any secondary market.
Agree. Goose Island has been doing this for years now with BCBS. Doesn’t mean we like it . I was more just pointing out the hilarious price differences based on the beer style. If saisons had people waiting in lines, it would surely be priced accordingly
Hell no. My point is I'd rather the money go to the brewer, which is good for Anchorage.... and if 'those people' can't re-sell it they won't hoard (or gatekeep) it.
I was actually out walking my dog and just happened to see the notification on my watch that I use for running but which also happens to get notifications from my phone. Queue me running back home trying to look nonchalant to the neighbors as I coax my dog to come with me but who just wants to sniff everything, flubbing the key to unlock my front door, running upstairs as I again try to look inconspicuous to my wife while I grab my phone and hurriedly tap away at Tavour. Not the smoothest, but it surprisingly got the job done.
