What beer are you drinking now? #3702

Haven’t had a beer since thanksgiving. Well been staring at this at work for a week.

 

I am running out of my supply of this beer. I hope I can find more!

 

Dinner at Cherry Street Brewpub Alpharetta, GA. This is one terrific Doppelbock. A collab between Cherry Street and Little Cottage Brewery. Chocolate and coffee notes. Smooth and warming at 9% abv. Love a fresh made Doppelbock.

I thought I would try an NA beer to work into the lineup. Age is catching up to me. Too many high ABV DIPAs, wine, and bourbon are starting to make my brain mushy. Ok, mushier.

This NA IPA is ok. Anyone recommend another one I should try?

 

Hah! Had one of those myself tonight, same glass too (I know, I know, so shoot me). Wasn't really in the mood for a Heady, that changed real soon.

 

Surly Raspberry Chocolate Torte Darkness Rye BA RIS, 12% ABV. Pours blacker than black with a 1.5 finger tan head that left lots of lacing. Nose is raspberry and chocolate. Taste follows, with the raspberry shading the chocolate, quite sweet, equally tart and bitter. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

I was relieved to find that they didn't make the raspberry overly tart. Outstanding, but on the fence about buying more. Cost as much as OG BCBS.

@Danmullens1, I decided to buy this beer, despite the cost. It is good, but not better than the base beer, and not worth about twice the cost. The new Amon Amarth video was released today. I saw them on Monday. It was an amazing experience. I moshed every minute of every song. I was bruised from head to toe, but was not injured. It was a flawless victory!

 

Clausthaler Dry- Hopped. Close your eyes it's like real beer, just no buzz. I have one on my dry Wednesdays, gets me thru.

Day 9 - let’s keep going with those goose stouts. also, if you haven’t laid back with headphones on in a dark room and a nice glass of whiskey / beer in your hand listening through this album all the way through… well, I reckon you’re doing it wrong.

 

I wish I was retired. Games are on at 1pm local. I think I might call off next Friday/Saturday.
