if you can ... grab this years Parabajava. Anyone that likes BA Coffee Stouts needs one .

A well made Burial Espresso Stout( non BA) . World needs more of these. Barrel Aged stuff needs to go away for a while.

So maybe I can't justify plunking down a C on the Extreme Stout box, but I got me a pick-six that included a Wake Up WorldWide Stout, a Willettized, and a Deth's Tar, so I don't feel so cheated...

IMO that is a hundred times better than the stout box.

Brewers Notes: Inspired by the Italian desserts of her childhood, Jill Cerone, People Manager at Goose Island, dreamed up this variant after grabbing a box of chocolate-dipped biscotti from her cabinet. Working with the brewing team, Jill brought the flavor to life with notes of anise, marzipan, cocoa and buttered toffee. One sip and you’ll be reminded of pizzelle cookies, Easter Pane di Pasqua and, of course, almond biscotti.

Small format is nice when you just downed a 15% barleywine. I think it rekt my pallet tho. This is not tasting very good and I usually like hoppin frog stuff. Maybe just shows how goo Revolution is

No obvious date - poured from a 12oz bottle into a snifter.

Clear seal brown liquid with fulvous highlights and a small beige cap receding to a lasting collar and surface slick. Fine sandy lacing, thin sticky legs.

Lovely aroma - potent roasty malt base with the coffee and hazelnuts blending perfectly.

Rich roast malt and French roast coffee on the palate - tobacco, burnt sugar, faint licorice and molasses. Mild bitterness, with faint citrus (chocolate orange)/pinenotes. Medium-dry nutty finish with a touch of ceylon and spice.

Medium bodied, fairly prominent alcohol, though not fusel. Slightly fizzy, though not over-carbonated.

Very good imperial stout with the additional flavors adding interest and balance.
