Lagunitas Willettized 2022

I found it in Northern Indiana yesterday.

 

Finally got a 4 pack on Tuesday

 

I gave up, it’s a great beer but if I stumble on it great. If not oh well. No one around here seems to know anything about this beer.

@JackHorzempa , did the distributor near you get the shipment you were talking about?

Sorry, but I love my Starbucks Sumatra.
Komodo Dragon is even better, but way too expensive for me to justify purchasing it regularly.

I spoke to one of the employees recently (3 days ago?) and we walked over to the area where Lagunitas beers are placed and there was no Willittized there and he had no knowledge if it is due to arrive.

The whole roll out of Willettized by Lagunitas overall appears to be a cluster f@$k! From not sending the beers out for something like 6+ months to erratic distribution of product.

Upstate NY got theirs over the last week or 2, $14.99/4 pack, can’t beat it

 

mentioned it in the northeast section but it is downstate as well. Might have actually paid slightly less.

 

It finally landed in the Philly region. 16.99 + tax!

At that price I might buy one, I gave up so I might just pass too. I used to pay $11 for a six pack and the last 4 pack last year was $11.99 or $12.99

The availability of this beer this year is just strange. Some high volume spots here in SoCal didn't get any while many low volume spots got 10+ cases. You could definitely get some if you wanted some around here.

Finally scored a couple 4 packs in the Philly burbs today. I totally get the covid thing as Lagunitas excuse for the delay. Things were a mess late 2021/early 2022. That they couldn't get the beer bottled until March makes sense. And to hold off on distro until the fall makes sense. (Drinking barrel-aged stouts in the dead of summer...)

What I don't get is the roll-out and distribution of this beer. As near I can tell, @Jaycase reported Willettized hitting the shelves in Illinois on 11/5. Slowly we saw it in CA, TX, FL, NY, etc. Finally, the week of 12/26 (nearly 2 months later), Willettized hits the Philly burbs. What gives? If anyone has any insight on how distribution works, I'm happy to be corrected, but this seems ridiculous.
