    I'm jealous, @Shanex - I've had the 6, 8 and 10, but never seen the Triple in the wild! Interesting that they spell it the conventional way rather than the more common "tripel" you tend to see associated with beer.

    But since you've made me jealous, now it's my turn!

    Today's holiday beer was a nice, tropical session beer from East Bendigo Brewing Company, that I managed to spill all over the table before I was even halfway through... It comes from a place called Bendigo (or rather just east of there, hence the name...), which is a couple of hours north of where I live, and is a former gold mining town with the obligatory wide streets, grand old buildings and all the faded grandeur of a once-booming metropolis. But I digress...

    Before I got around to spilling my hard-earned beer, we dropped into Lili Pili Beach, which is really just a small alcove amongst the gum trees, hiked a few ks and waved goodbye as the father-in-law took the daughter and her friend for a spin in his 1976 GTS Monaro. Now, I know nothing about cars, but apparently this is a classic Australian muscle car.

    @AzfromOz as far as I know Triple is the French and incidentally the English way to properly write it. “Tripel” is the Flemish way, which @Beer-Panda could probably confirm.

    Yeah, which is why I would have expected them to spell it "tripel", but my knowledge of which parts of Belgium speak French, which Walloon, and which Flemish is of a par with my knowledge of Australian muscle cars from the 1970s! :stuck_out_tongue:

    Happy Friday BA's! Well 4 hours of overtime complete and just had an echo-cardiogram....all the tech would tell me (and I know it) was that "if I don't run out of the room, that's a good thing". I see the cardiologist on the 19th for the outbrief after all the tests. Heading to 30 tonight and 28 tomorrow night for the low.......finally stout weather. Parish Brewing Vermillionaire as we ponder lunch....

    Good day BAs! Another nice morning (28 F, -2 C) after yesterday/last night's rain, flood watches abound! Looks like another day to gather round the fire in the living room - too bad we don't have a fireplace! Thanks @Shanex for starting us off, and @AzfromOz for yet another longingly lovely summer picture!

    Today's New (late) Breakfast Beer is one I had on the underground north of London years ago but never reviewed. Thanks to @Whyteboar and BIF #16, it's back on my radar:
