    Wafflebanger [4-Pack]
(Double IPA, 8% ABV, 16oz) Sometimes you make the joke enough times that the joke becomes a reality. Well, here we are—you are holding Wafflebanger. The legend has often been told of this elusive treat, and the world has willed it into existence. Brewed with grade-A maple syrup and the very best Mosaic hops we could find in Washington, Wafflebanger presents with whispers of sweet maple intertwining with layers of rich blueberry-like hop complexity. It works beautifully and encapsulates the spirit of a rich and fulfilling carbohydrate-heavy breakfast, replete with fresh squeezed orange juice! Enjoy! Who knows if we’ll do this again...

I’m more interested in Double Baked

It’s funny, as soon as I saw mosaic hops I realized given Nate’s ability this beer makes sense and will probably work. I may not love it, but I bet it does deliver.

Yeah I brought a four pack home. It’s incredible.

I was the one who posted about the calories being listed next to treehouse pours. But this so far has only been see at treehouse Tewksbury on the draft list. No other sites so far as I have heard.

Planning on stopping in at Charlton tonight after dinner. Seeing a lot of love for Green Machine. Looking for thoughts on if I had to choose between cans of Green Machine or The Greenest Green, which is the way to go??

    Also, anyone tried Jubilee?

First, will say I have not tried Jubilee, does sound interesting because I liked Land of the Long White Cloud. I think I would recommend Greenest Green. The first two cans I have had of Green Machine have been a little aggressive IMO and to me Greenest Green seemed more balanced.

Good or bad news depending on your perspective, but there are no longer calorie counts posted in Tewksbury. Asked about it and the bartenders chuckled saying they don't know how that happened initially...

Jubilee is good, but not my favorite, I’d go for any other core beer before it

I had a buddy pick up a bottle for me yesterday, and we decided to crack it last night. I am pretty new to barleywines, but I thought it was absolutely delicious. It was like a fig newton with a nice light chocolatiness to it, if that makes any sense.

To be on the safe side, they may have thought due to the existing food service onsite that calorie counts might need to be provided as with other restaurants. But have since clarified this pour license is treated as a standalone bar operation that does not need to meet food service standards.

Right on. It sounds like a real win from the description. Tree of Light is probably my favorite barleywine of all time, seems like they elevated it even more.

Keep on drinking bw, they’re delicious!

Wafflebanger is amazing. The maple syrup is pretty subtle, but the blueberry flavor from the mosaic hops is just...how in the fuck does Nate do it? It's bonkers.

It's a very strange beer but I dig it. The maple is indeed subtle, but in the nose it's reminiscent of a Milkshake IPA to me. The back-end bitterness is surprising but much welcome

The TH Youtube can be pretty cool.

This one's Nate giving a tour of the brewery.

Coming back to this. Two weeks in and still getting a huge astringent back end from Green Machine. Feel like Greenest Green is way more balanced, even at a higher ABV. I do think that Tree House is pushing back on the sweet juicy side of the NEIPA trend and back towards pushing hop limits. I am not mad at this but there is a limit, as they were seeking to find with the ‘Project Find the Limit’. FWIW my limit was #7…

The nose on this is phenomenal!

I think both beers are ridiculous and I love them.

Does greenest green have a “cleaner” malt bill? I think they’re both great but I lean towards greenest green.

I need this Big Bear - Coffee! That new barleywine sounds good, too.
