Anyone have anything from Lumberbeard? Just claimed two of the Year 3 Anniversary Ales on Tavour. Sounds pretty good but they make everything sound world class

Had their first anniversary b-wine and liked it. Yeah the tavour writers are something else.

this was incredible. picked up last month from the brewery. dark puddle water brown like a bw. little less sweetness than a bw. somewhere between an old ale and a bw perhaps… either way this was damn good! cheers!!

Might have to work something out with you some day. Never had a TG stout or BW!! Sometimes I can find King Sue and whatnot here, but it’s usually many months old

this is almost “shelf turd” status* by TG standards but damn is it good.

*i threw up a little in my mouth typing that out just now.

Kane released a new version of Double Double Cask. They still aren't shipping

Double Double Cask, our 12.8% Blend Of Double Barrel-Aged Barleywines, will be available at the brewery today during our tasting room hours of 12pm-9pm.⁣ ⁣ This year's release came from two separate Barleywines, chosen for their notable flavor and complexity.⁣ ⁣ The first component originated from a two-day boiled Barleywine aged initially for 12 months in large format Cognac and Jura Wine casks before then being aged an additional 24 months in a single 13-Year-Old Forester Bourbon cask.⁣ ⁣ The second component came from one of our favorite English Barleywine recipes that was aged initially in a large format Armagnac cask for 20 months before resting an additional 22 months in a single Early Times 10-Year Bourbon cask.⁣ ⁣ This year’s Double Double Cask blend has an average age of 39 months in various barrels and casks.⁣ ⁣ Double Double Cask pours a near-black with aromatics of rum, candied oranges and chestnuts along with undertones of cacao and creme brulee.⁣ ⁣

What would one expect to pay for a bottle of double double if I took the drive? Do they limit bottles? I have a day off during the week next week. Might be worth the 90 minute drive.

    Enjoy

Last summer I got 2 different double barreled ales by mail for $16 and $18 for 500ml. A regular BA bottle was $20. No idea about sales limits. Have fun if you make the trip, it's about twice as far for me and I just can't find the time.

Jackie O’s Endolith. A delicious English style barleywine. 13.6% ABV and still an easy drinker. Cheers

    Dan,

You have a way with words that crack me up "buffet setting".

Back in October a buddy and i went up to the Burial Brewing Burnpile festival. Smallish pours the first two hours, paced myself pretty well, and then in the last hour the pours started getting larger. 15% ABV Stouts and large pours are not a good life choice! Even my buddy who outweighs me by 40-50 pounds and has two hollow legs was sleeping in the Lyft on the way back!

My buddy volunteers at a lot of festivals, knows a lot of industry people in the DC, Virginia, and Carolinas, and keeps inviting me to go to festivals but i know how i am at the "buffet". Thanks for the life advice:rofl:

    Cheers!
    Tom

I was thinking earlier today, as i am being slowly pulled into two trades, that i need to start a thread "How Many Beers do you have in your Cellar/Beer Fridge?"

    Cheers!

Essentially an old school hoppy red ale at a year out from bottling but damn tasty. Called a barleywine so it fits here. Delicious nonetheless in my opinion.
