Wrapped up work for the day and just did all the prep work for a stir-fry I'm going to make for dinner. There will be plenty of Thai chilies in accompaniment, rest assured. This is tasting excellent out of the can. Finestkind IPA.



This was an old ode to Arrogant Bastard that I wrote and recorded many years ago on a Tascam 4 track cassette deck. I do have a tendency to write odes to beers I like It's really just a straight ahead blues tune.

 

1) Toppling Goliath’s Pseudo Sue (5.8% canned 12/15/22): A NEPA from Iowa with strong flavors of lemon citrus, citrus flower, light mint.
versus
2) Hop Butcher Meet the Citras (6.5% canned 12/5/22): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra for flavors of ripe citrus, juicy orange, tropical strawberry and pineapple. Juicy, lightly sweet. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Winner:
2) Hop Butcher Meet the Citras: Two excellent lower ABV ones with Citra. Pseudo Sue has always been on of my favorites and hard to beat. The lemon and floral citrus with those hints of mint. Meet the Citras is absolutely incredible. Tons of tropical and bright citrus flavors at a decently low ABV. If you can make an IPA this good at 6.5%, I don't know why you'd need a DIPA or TIPA. This one is mastercraft.

I'm ready for the new BA Karma System! I'll start w another American beauty: Blackstack Rule Of Thirds TIPA 10.1% ABV and all the other items go into the garbage! Wow. What a beer. Set phasers for stun Mr. Spock...Cheers everyone!
