    It’s a new flat and hope the luck changes after losing just over $200 on poker. Can’t remember more bad beats, but that’s how it goes.

    Ellis Island West Coast IPA

    Brewery Notes:     Beer Comped at The Front Yard. 7.0% ABV. A blast of bold bitterness with citrus.

    Appearance: Murky bronze golden vase. Creamy off white head. 12 oz pour into a snifter. 3.5

    Aroma:     Citrus over pine, slightly bitter. It’s alright. 3.25

    Taste:     Matches aroma, citrus over pine, resinous, ok to good. 3.25

    Mouthfeel:     Dry, light to mild bitterness. Drinks lightly easier than ABV. Lightly resinous, light citrus lingers. 3.5

    Overall:     This is an ok offering, but one I wouldn’t order again. Bland citrus and bitterness. Straight Flush hit the best thing about this pour. 3.25

    Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for starting us off and I'll agree with @Shanex - have a good sleep!

    Looks like another scorcher today - already 31F (-1 C) and overcast with some rain falling. With a little luck I can talk Mrs. Lizard into Americanized Chinese for lunch.

    Cherryless variant of KBS, at least at the temperature range at which I consumed it (56.3 - 59.5 F). Rating 3.86, rDev -6.8%.

    Good morning/afternoon BAs! Cleaning up and packing this morning. Taking a coffee break - Weathered Ground Brewery’s “To The Gill” a Rye Whisky BA Imperial Stout:

    Sadly no canning date. Poured at 54°. Sweet whisky nose. Fudgey chocolate and whisky taste. Outstanding! A bit thin for abv, but nose and taste is spot on.

    A much warmer day on tap for here today…still, I’m ready to go to my Florida home. Cheers y’all!

    Sipping some hippy juice from Fatheads - a very nice Imperial Stout.....Emma and I did our usual walk earlier this am, great to see hardly anyone else on the trail - love weekday walking!

    going to go looking for some white oak boards for my latest boat project this afternoon - need to make a new centerboard and case for the Catspaw Dinghy, so I can sail her in the coming months!

    Hello friends! Thanks @ChicagoJ for 3761. Yesterday turned out to be pretty busy for me but today is mellow. Fairly sunny, 33F and windy. I'll go out and break up some ice in the driveway, do a little bit of digging out, look for some spy balloon debris...all whilst tipping this lovely Surly Skeleton Tree Baltic Style Porter.     Feck it. Havin' round 2 of Surly Skeleton Tree Baltic Porter. It is mildly redolent of a beer from Lift Bridge called Fireside Flannel Brown Ale. Both are damn good and really EZ drinking. The Surly is 7.2%, is less toasty and drinks like a 5.8%er. Fabulous taste...and now I'm prepped to go outside. :grin::beers: Cheers!
