    Moontown Schwarzee! Schwarzbier. Heard pretty good things about this brewery so I decided to stop here on the way to Indianapolis for my girlfriend’s sister’s wedding. Big space and a pretty well-rounded tap list. This one is a solid beer for the style.

    Moontown Heady Manifestations NEDIPA (Citra, Kohatu, Wai-iti, Ekaunot). I know these guys excel in their lighter abv offerings, but this is surprisingly good. Not too sweet at all with a nice bitterness. Has a good juicy character from the yeast and a soft feel. Full of white peach, passionfruit, grass, ruby red grapefruit, dried mango, some vanilla, orange peel, and some pine. I dig this one.

    Keeping it juicy, aroma is very tropical & taste follows with pineapple and mango notes. Love that it has none of that alcohol/pine bite and I'd imagine a somewhat low IBU making it super drinkable.

    Snowy here yesterday. So today, after clearing snow from 4 driveways and sidewalks, I'm treating myself to some new beers I picked up on the way home. First up, Revolution Working Man English Mild Ale. Caramel and toffee lead the way, with a hint of cocoa. 3.8% abv easy drinker.

    Drinking Sierra Nevada Dankful IPA. @Shanex I didn't get a chance to answer your question yesterday. The SNAPPY I was drinking yesterday was dated 11/10 and it was from the same mix pack as the Dankful I'm drinking now. The 12 packs of SNAPPY that are on the shelves currently are from August, probably due to the fresher Celebration, Powder Day and Torpedo. I expect some newer stock to show up soon because no one is buying the beer from August. From your question it sounds like Sierra Nevada in Europe uses a best buy day, which is fine as long as you know how long they think the beer stays fresh.

    Thanks and indeed, there’s no way they want their European drinker to know we’re drinking 3-4 months old (?) SNPA so we’re stuck with a BBD. Better than nothing but still hoppy when I drink it, probably better fresher but I can deal with it.

    Moved to a smaller room today. Had two separate bookings, and not for the same room. View from the wall mounted opener in the bathroom is less spectacular, but the room is more than OK.
    I still find these bathroom openers rather fascinating. Where I come from hygiene would be somewhat of an issue.

    Same here. We had some small batches of Narwahl, BigFoot and Celebration in NL by the way. Torpedo used to be around, but not seen it for al long time.

    I used to really dig SN IPA Hop Hunter but adios to it. I could look it up but has Sierra Nevada just ceased its production?

    Having never seen a snow-filled driveway, let alone shoveled one, I imagine it's not fun...
