To those people I would say- I'm happy to trade my regular for one of your variants and I'm sure thousands of other attendees will as well.

I honestly expect to see regular hit distro in 12oz 4 packs within 5 years and DLD will just be about getting the variants.

 

I wonder if they will have any old bottles of Yum yum in the deluxe tent.

Do you really think DL will hit distro? 4-packs, sure I can see that at the fest or maybe at the kiosk (both?). But, distro? People don’t really buy regular stouts. They just don’t sell. I don’t know why they would do this. Even if it sells well at release, it won’t be long before accounts don’t want to buy it, because it isn’t selling.

Rasputin is about the only base stout you can find consistently, but even that isn’t around everyplace. Bell’s expedition isn’t even around much anymore. Founders dropped IS - it hasn’t been around for awhile (will it ever come back as more than a special release?).
