It's been at least five years since I last had it, and it's still a good RIS. Wish it came in 12 oz 4-packs instead of these 16 oz singles

I think the average price in the local market (Twin Cities, MN) is 13 bucks. I got it for 11 bucks in Wisconsin. For me, it is, and has historically been, way overpriced. In the past, I would get a pour at a bar and call it a day. I am hoping a different format would lead to a lower price, but Surly hasn't had problems selling it out. Minnesotans are a bunch of homer suckers.

i looked it up just now and it's $14 thats way too much. After having a few sent over im done trading for it. I can get the best BBA California beers for that price.

from the stout box. still in the process of reviewing, but initial impressions are that this is solid. dark fruits, coffee, slightly hoppy with a decently noticeable alcohol burn to it. i dig it. cheers!!

I do believe I'm starting the 2nd half of the Extreme Stout Beer Box and Revolution's Dark Mode starts it. Finally one I will enjoy, some chocolate, heavy roasted malts some bourbon, a bit too much lactose, it's still too sweet but....
Had this a couple years ago, rated it much higher than I would today. Probably my least favorite BA beer from Revolution.

While living in Arizona tried a couple of wildly popular AZ based German Chocolate Cake Stouts and man they never agreed with my palate even though i like all the ingredients. To quote my favorite LA advocate @Resistance88 , "it tastes like ass".
Did have access to Hubbard's Cave in AZ but thought they were overpriced for a style that i am not crazy about so always passed.
    Cheers!

Well, every post is about how delicious it is. What do you think?!?!?!

But really, it’s damn good. Would love to know how long it’s aged. More barrel presence than KBS, which I had last night. Less coffee. Both are in the ‘can’t go wrong’ category

@BMBCLT, I am right here with you. This beer is superior to Lagunitas Brewing's Willitized 2022. I suggest you all travel to the middle of Wisconsin to find out why.
